House of Cards Blog Hop and DT Call

BEFORE WE START--we'd like you all to know that this blog hop is also a DT CALL!!!
If you're interested in working with us a HOC for a six month term from July 2014 through January of 2015 please put DT at the end of your entry name when you link up!!!
We're looking for crafters comfortable in any card making style and it might just be YOU!  You will be contacted by June 18th  to know if you've made the team. :)   Each DT member will just be in charge of one or two cards/projects per month plus commenting.  Please email Mynn at onastampageATyahooDOTcom if you have any other questions!  And now...

Hi friends!  Can you believe we've come to the end of our second term here at House of Cards?!  We are saying a fond farewell to some of our DT members and feel so grateful to those staying on.  To say goodbye and thank you, we're celebrating with a blog hop!

This hop will run FROM JUNE 2ND UNTIL JUNE 15TH,  ANY CARD STYLE is welcome and we've got a gorgeous photo inspiration for your crafting enjoyment!

Here's our photo inspiration:

You probably arrived here from the fabulously talented Ruth

Here is my card for you, using stamps from our sponsor STAMPlorations:

I used stamps from one of our fabulous sponsors - STAMPlorations. I actually used three sets here: Stamplorations - Eclectic Florals, Subway Art Builders - MOM #4, Sentiment Builder Happy

The cork banner is from my stash of  TOSICOR (things on sale I couldn't resist) and the  flower vase I made with an embossing folder - first embossed it, then swiped Versamark over the raised areas and heat embossed it in white. See - it mimics that basket in the inspiration photo.

The idea of making a vase this way is from Kelly Griglione - she posted that a long time ago on her fabulous blog Notable Nest. I'm sure you know Kelly - if not check out her blog, its simply amazing! And tell her I sent you ;)

I am linking this card with Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anything goes

So, before you continue hopping I'll show you our fabulous sponsors!  Make sure you leave a comment at each person's blog along the way because the prizes are hidden and we'll be doing random drawings from the blogs where they are hiding! :)  After you're done, make a creation to share with us here, too, for another chance to win!

STAMPlorations

Prize: 5 stamps sets--your choice--from the shop.

Hey there! David and I (Shery) are a husband-and-wife team and we own and manage STAMPlorations™ from our home office in Central California. I'm an avid paper crafter and I love graphic design, so in June 2013, my husband and I launched our home-based stamp company featuring my designs.
All of our stamps are proudly made in the USA. Our rubber stamps are deep-etched and made from high quality rubber, while our clear stamps are made from the finest, non-yellowing photopolymer resin and they're naturally sticky. They're environmentally friendly too because biodegradable materials were used in the manufacture of these stamps. With proper use and care, you can expect our clear stamps to last as long as rubber stamps -- years!
Through our stamp line, we hope to encourage crafters of all ages and experience levels to "Stamp with all your ART!".

Stitchy Bear

Prize: $10 gift voucher to the shop.

We are proud to say that we have been in business, serving our customers since 2010.
We have a very large and talented group of Digital Creators who sell their products in our store and who regularly upload new products. You will find something new almost daily.

And now, here's your hop order~

Easter Egg and Bunny

Hi Everyone, I made a bunch of Easter cards, after all its little more than one month and I need to send them out in time... You see, they are all similar - using both the die cut and the negative, that I cut from a die cut egg. The cute bunnies got their yearly appearance - they are from Impression Obsession. the egg is by Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Papertrey. And here are bigger photos from this set: Linking up with Creative with Stamps - Easter The Paper Players - die cutting Die Cut Divas - animals Happy Little Stampers - anything goes with dies

Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it. And here is a close -up: Challenges: Dynamic Duos CAS Colours and Sketches Addicted to Stamps and More Amusing Challenges Materials: Papertrey Background Basics: Super Stripes, Memory Box Chloe Stem die. --X-- Card for Maddy: You may know already about  Maddy ,  who  was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and went through chemotherapy treatment followed by a stem cell transplant from her (then) fifteen year old sister Melanie.  She now has a relapse and this car

Mirror Image Stamping with So Suzy and the MISTI

Hi Everyone, I am so happy to be part of this wonderful event - the collaboration between So Suzy and the MISTI from My Sweet Petunia doing mirror image stamping.  This event is going on for the ENTIRE  MONTH! We are demonstrating the  Mirror Image Stamp    which coordinates with the Misti Stamping Tool! All month long, different bloggers will post a card using the  Mirror Image Stamp .  In my tutorial today, I will show you how use the  Mirror Image Stamp  on your cards. You can basically double your stamp supplies that way! The  mirror image stamp  is  a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of red rubber with no foam backing. So much larger than the other mirror image stamps out there and therefore much more useful! Mirror Image stamp ,  Two Cats in a Tree If you want a video tutorial on how to do this I can highly recommend you watch THIS VIDEO on youtube. Explains it all in very little time! Or you can see the same thing on my photo tutorial. With mirror
