CASology and Paper Players

It has been almost a week for me without making a card......that was not my choice, just too many other things happening. Mainly work.....Hopefully next week will be better, although we are having visitors for the next two and a half weeks and I want to spend some time with them, too.

I wanted to play with CASology all week long, finally I had a few minutes to make this:

The cue work is PAINT. I took some acrylic paint, spread a strip of it onto the card stock and then took one of those cake decorating thingies from my kitchen drawer and made the vertical strips. I guess a comb would work too.

The sentiment is by Hero Arts. Heat embossed in white. Enamel dots.
Hmm, looking at that card I can see lots of possibilities ......I think I'll keep that thing now in my craft room...
Below is that thing:

And here is wanted to share a different kind of visitor, which we discovered last night on the roof: You see, we still have snow, its supposed to snow a bit tonight again....

For you, who don't know those animals - its a racoon - they are feisty and fearless little things, actually not so little, they are extremely skilled in opening garbage cans and then distributing the garbage all over the yard....but oh, so cute!

Whoa - new and different and oh-so-cool. The card, not the critter. You definitely don't want him getting into your chimney or attic.

Die Karte ist super. Ja, man wird im Laufe der Zeit erfinderisch, welche "Hilfsmittel" man nimmt/braucht, um interessante Karten zu gestalten.
Solche "Untermieter" braucht kein Mensch.

So. COOL! Love the vibrant colours on the grey and the really neat technique. I think it looks like one of those sound bar charts (I have no idea what they're called, but you see them on stereos and sound equipment). Thanks for joining us at CASology!

I love your artsy card, Cornelia. Beautiful colors, love your creativity.

That raccoon looks cute in the picture but in real they look so scary, we see them a lot around here. :-)

Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it. And here is a close -up: Challenges: Dynamic Duos CAS Colours and Sketches Addicted to Stamps and More Amusing Challenges Materials: Papertrey Background Basics: Super Stripes, Memory Box Chloe Stem die. --X-- Card for Maddy: You may know already about  Maddy ,  who  was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and went through chemotherapy treatment followed by a stem cell transplant from her (then) fifteen year old sister Melanie.  She now has a relapse and this car
