Little Tangles #26

So little time before the Holidays - I have barely managed to get up to my card room this month. Today I sneaked in for a few minutes to make a card for the Little Tangles challenge :  I used  a bauble from the set ca lled  Merry and Bright and repeatedly stamped it onto white card stock with some masking.  I used Delicata ink for the gold - this ink is just amazing. It is rich and shimmery - you can even see it on the photo. In real like it looks absolutely gorgeous! I stamped the sentiment over the gold with Versafine ink. My all time favorite black ink. All stamps are from the same set.  I am also linking this card with the  CHNC challenge  - anything Christmas Keep crafting and thanks for your visit.

Back Home and a Card

My time in Chicago went by very quickly - too quickly..... Every year I wish I could spend more time in this wonderful city. But its nice being back home too. So I had some time today and made a card for Dynamic Duos  and combined it with CAS-ual Fridays : All the die cuts, except the stars (Simon Says) are from Memory Box and the sentiment is by Mama Elephant - Merry Greetings. I hung the ornaments with silver thread - which required some fiddling around....and lastly I elevated the ornaments with foam dots.  And of course this card is largely made with snippets - it going into the  Snippets Playground ! --X-- I want to share some pics from Chicago with you: The modern Santa..... The stairway in the Contemporary Art Museum. The "Bean" by Anish Kapoor - one of my favorites... A view onto the side gallery of the Art Institute - looks almost like a picture, don't you think? And lastly the lions in fr...

Pinspired #22

Pinspired has this great inspiration photo  - I like everything about it! The stamp used is by Purple onion design, the tiny bow is by Mama Elephant. I used some designer paper as background, the little berries I added with Stickles.     Here is the inspiration photo:            I have to be brief - I am still in Chicago at my meeting. Sorry for not leaving any comments  - I'll catch up with all of you once I'll be back home.... This also will be my last entry for a few days - can't make any cards right now :(   Have a great day and thanks for visiting!

Festive Friday again

Hi Everybody,   I am still in Chicago, having a great time! I wanted to share a card with you that also fits the Festive Friday challenge - again I choose for a child - hopefully the adults appreciate it too....       The stamps are from Avocado stamps, except for the little Santa that peeks in from the side - he is by Paper Source. I colored it with Copics.      I hope your day is going as well as mine - Thanks for visiting!

Casual Friday with Snippets

It has been ages that I played in the CASual Friday challenge - time to get back into it! I made this card "on commission" and there were very specific requirements about the colors and the scripture in front. It was kind of difficult...I thought the colors are Halloweenish and the scripture text does not really match. So I took a deep breath and approached it like I would any challenge and I actually really like the result of it.       I used a Sizzix Embossing Folder. The stars are cut from glitter paper with Simon Says dies. I printed the scripture text on my printer and went around the sides with blue ink to make it stand out better. Some silver thread to bring it all together.      --X--   As you can see below I made a whole bunch of them - but the one for the challenge has only 8 stars....        I am also entering those cards into the Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anything goes a...
