Dreaming about Paris with Carabelle Studio

Hi Everyone, This week we are featuring Carabelle Studio on the  Topflight blog .  I started out with stamping the Eiffel Tower first. I then sponged the background with distress inks. Stamped the Katzelkraft flowers with slightly darker colors. Brushed some water onto some of the flowers and dabbed it off with a paper towel. That took some of the ink away, lightening the flowers. Stamped the little hearts. Trimmed the card and added a matching strip of patterned paper at the bottom. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  See you next week with more  Topflight Stamps  inspiration. And here are the stamp supplies I used:  Paris                  Hibiscus   (not exactly the same flower set, but would work as well)           Chameleon  (the little hearts), Peeling Paint paper pad    Versafine

Katzelkraft Collage Card

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I can't get enough of those cute rabbits! I hope you are not getting sick and tired of them.... I got this little home furnishing catalog in the mail. No idea how they found me, but the pictures were quite nice and they inspire me to make a collage card. It was more work than it looks like - need to modify the furniture and move things around a bit. Stamped the rabbit and carrots onto scrap paper, colored them and cut them out. Arranged them onto the card.  Heat embossed the sentiment (Technique Junkie - 'Because I said so') and added it to the card. Added a bit of string to the carrots. Also added some shadows. The stamps I used are from the following set: Les Lapins - KTZ271  ( FRANCE)   Rabbits - KTZ271  (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Emboss Resist Christmas Card

Hi Everyone, working diligently on my Christmas card pile..... I am again playing along with the  52 CCT  challenge. This weeks theme is emboss resist. Cool, have not done that in a while. Always good to be remined about old techniques. I took one of my old wooden stamps (Penny Black) and stamped with Versamark. I then shifted the stamp a tiny bit downward and stamped it again with in black. Heat embossed in clear. And then I sponged around it in blue. The clear embossed Versamark part looks kind of like snow on the branches. A neat effect. I also added water splatters to create some "snow". Stamped my favorite sentiment (Mama Elephant) and added two gems. Mounted it onto a dark blue card stock paper. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  Happy Stamping! Heart Poetry with Cats on Appletrees

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I am playing along with the  Artpoetry challenge  over at Instagram. This week its about hearts poetry. I have been really enjoying this challenge so far! See the picture below that inspired me to make this card. My blogging friend Daniela from Stempelschublade  made me an extremely generous birthday present and sent me lots of  Cats on Appletree stamps, in addition to a LOT of delicious marzipan from Germany. Unfortunately I can't wait for the card to arrive - the challenge would be over.....But the inspiration was just too perfect. Had to go for it.... I drew out the letters and the heart and water colored them. Added the animals. Pretty self-explanatory, I think. This is the inspiration picture. It is drawn by Maria Carluccio . Totally awesome! Those wonderful stamps and dies  from   Funky Fossil Designs  were just perfect for this!  I used a stencil from Carabelle Studio for the confetti dots. Added the Mr nd Mrs. I am not really into making wedding card, but I am quite pleased with the outcome of this one.
