Guest Designing for the Twofer Challenge

Hi Everyone,

I have the great honor to guest design for my all time favorite challenge - the Twofer challenge from my blogging friend Darnell from djcardkreations.

The theme is wheels.
Hmmmm, I thought, what to do with that????
Not exactly an easy theme.

I dug around in my craft supplies and found this bicycle die cut - no idea what company makes it. It had to do. I first made the card with the Cats on Appletrees animal stamps. I dotted the frame and added two heart shaped enamel dots, as it clearly needed more color. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

For my second card, I die cut the bike wheel with fun foam and used it as a stamp. Stamped it with Versamark onto water color paper and heat embossed it. Then I sprinkled Brushos and spritzed with water. The sentiment is by Honey Bee Stamps, including the die cut.

So, two different occasions. One card and encouragement card and the other is what I like to call an "any occasion card", if you are just thinking about someone and want to send them a card for no specific reason.

So much fun. I just love it that this challenge really gets me thinking into stretching the possibles my stamps and dies allow me to do.

Happy Twofing everyone!
I hope you find time to play along!

Fantastic Twofers. Both designs are great using that wheel you chose.

...and they couldn't be more different. You wheelie nailed the GD assignment. You know I love those Cats In Trees stamps, but putting them all on a bike simply delights me. Just enough color for interest and fun, fun, fun. The Brusho card was done so cleverly...imagine making your own stamp. See, that's why I think you're a genius.

Up inside your head everything is technicolor and a riot of fun, Cornelia! Now I want a lime green bicycle of my own and if it comes with a cross-eyed duck, hung-over bear, confused pig, and brave hedgehog, all the better! The sediment is great and the dotty background, enameled hearts, and peeing dog finish the design perfectly. As for your Smile card, it's simply genius! I would never have thought of making a lemon slice stamp form a bicycle wheel cut from foam! I don't know if you meant for them to look like wheels or lemon slices, but either way works with your bold and colorful background. Thank you so much for being a Guest Designer for Twofer Card Challenge #16! Hugs, Darnell

Well, I'm simply amazed! Those animals are so fun and I love the lime green bicycle. You have the most interesting stamps! Your creativity is off the charts with the idea of making a stamp from the bicycle wheel! I hardly even have words. Beautiful background on that one, too. I'm so glad you're one of our guest designers this month, Cornelia!

Oh my gosh, those animals are so cute on the bike and the dog is a hoot! What a fun card that is. Making your own wheel with foam is so clever and the card came out so great.

Two totally different cards is right! Those heat embossed wheels look like citrus slices, especially with the yellow/orange Brusho. Those animals are priceless! I love the heart stuck in the quill - so much fun! Thanks for being our guest designer this month, Cornelia! It's always amazing to see what you do. I scratched my head with this theme for a while too!

Like Kara, that wheelie background put me in mind of zesty citrus fruits, Cornelia, especially with that background bursting with mouth watering colour ... it's fabulous! Love how you have those fantastic, whimsical COAT images balanced all over the bicycle ... they're delicious ... and the pops of bright colour are perfect! Thanks so much for inspiring our players as our Guest Designer at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)

Katzelkraft - Stampotique Raven

Hi Everyone, Do you know that   Katzelkraft has aquired Stampotique stamps? This fun raven is designed by Daniel Torrente (#6314). I used an old background from my stashs.  I stamped the bird and colored it with alcohol ink markers.  I brushed distrss ink onto the background and added some pattern with the   Mandala Magic stencil  from Funky Fossil Designs.I used one of the border stamps on the left for more interest.  Stamped the sentiment  and doodled a frame around the sentiment.Added a googly eye to the bird and drew in some eye lashes.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Spiral Borders - KTZ286,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276  (FRANCE) Spiral Borders  - KTZ286 , Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276 (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Some more Christmas Cards...

Hi Everyone, there still are some Christmas cards  I made awhile ago and have not yet posted.... This one I made for the  Runway Inspired Challenge . The inspiration photo is below. I found it a little tricky to make this into a Christmas card, but with the help  of Neat&Tangled stamps it worked....The stitched dies are by Simon Says. Added some Washi tape on top (the headdress) and silver glitter paper at the bottom (the floor and silver shoes) and voila a Christmas card! My second card I made with an iStencil, gold embossing paste, faux pearls, an enamel dot and lots of splatters. The stitched die I cut the Kraft panel with is by Simon Says. I love this stencil and stenciled cards are just so quick and easy to make. I used this one for several cards this year, on of which you can see HERE . http://www.istencils.com/store/products/22-00029 I am linking up this card with: Stamps and fun=Creativity - Christmas U...
