Stencil Ghosting

Hi Everyone,

I am in Easter card mode and I wanted to play in the CAS Stencil challenge. The theme is ghosting.

I had a lot of trouble with it. I finally produced something I kind of can live with.....Still not happy at all. It makes everything look fuzzy. but it is, what it is.....

I used my favorite "egg" iStencil for this - made a lot of Easter cards with it in the past. Those things look like eggs to me. Below you see my failed ghosting attempt. But I cheated here and sponged some matching color over the ghosted areas, as they didn't show up well. I like it much better. New technique, huh - I call it reverse ghosting, LOL!

My second card was supposed to go onto Colour Throwdown, but I missed the deadline.....Still love those colors!

Both your cards are awesome, Cornelia! Ghosting is supposed to leave a bit of a fussy edge on the design. I love the bright green with your sweet white bunny. The green tummy is so fun! Your original card looks fantastic with the sponging over top of the ghosting to bring out the contrast. Very clever. Love the colours and your sweet adorable brown bunny! Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Stencil!

Boy oh boy, amazing amount of challenges you met with this post.
Love your favorite stencil on both cards and all 3 colors you chose. You're making those bunnies very happy with their background and the recipients with their Easter cards.

What cute bunnies, Cornelia ... set against rather cool ghosted backgrounds ... no fuzziness showing here! Hugs, Anita :)
I think both of your cards are wonderful. I love the fuzziness of the green ghosting. It looks great... and I did get a chuckle out of your new technique - reverse ghosting. That is the beautiful thing about this kind of art - it is always unique. I love what you did. Thanks for joining in our GREEN challenge at Addicted To CAS.
These are great Easter cards, with pretty colors.
Thanks for sharing at NSS. Good luck and best wishes!

Liebe Cornelia,

Klasse.
Schön, das du bei Night-Shift-Stamping dabei bist.

Hi Everyone, I have a very special card for you today - a birthday card for Suzanne, the owner and talented force behind So Suzy Stamps! And we are celebrating this wonderful occasion with a special blog hop! You may have arrived from the wonderful Giada , our Italian contingent :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY Suzanne! I opened the frame on the side to have the butterflies and color spill out. Added lots of splatters and the heat embossed sentiment Your next stop on the hop is the talented Henriette - you are going to love her card! And just in case you get lost - below are all the participants listed. Easter Egg and Bunny

Hi Everyone, I made a bunch of Easter cards, after all its little more than one month and I need to send them out in time... You see, they are all similar - using both the die cut and the negative, that I cut from a die cut egg. The cute bunnies got their yearly appearance - they are from Impression Obsession. the egg is by Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Papertrey. And here are bigger photos from this set: Linking up with Creative with Stamps - Easter The Paper Players - die cutting Die Cut Divas - animals Happy Little Stampers - anything goes with dies

Addicted to Stamps and More #134 and Spotlight Sneak Peek

Hi Everyone, Its challenge time at  ATSM ! For the next two week its going to be CAS - just my thing! And hopefully yours, too! I made a birthday card, because for some reason I always need more and never seem to have enough.... I was inspired by this weeks Make it Monday , where the talented  Ashley Newell  shows us a video about  stamps and doodling. Since I  mainly own die cuts from Papertrey and not so many stamps that would fit this theme I made my own out of fun foam, using my latest Papertrey dies (just got the order a few days ago) and cut those in fun foam - it works so well - voila - you have our own stamps, spending only a fraction of the money! I doodled around the stamps as you can see. Gives you kind of a cool effect....a little more tremor and one would think I drank too much ;) Added tiny enamel dots - do you know about this month House of Cards challenge - its enamel dots - thought I'll let you know.....
