Stamp Connection #11

Hi Everyone,

Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from Little Art Cottage and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our eleventh transatlantic get-together!

This time it was my turn to pick the requirements:

I picked recycling.

If you wondered what I recycled here - I always put paper in my spray carton and have been saving it for some occasion - it always looks so pretty. So I finally found a reason to recycle that paper into a card. It would be a pity to throw it out, right? And this is one quick background you don't have to make. It makes itself....

The butterflies are by Poppy Stamps and Martha Stewart. the happy is by Winnie & Walter. I also added some of the die cut dots from the large butterfly to the card and an enamel dot.

Linking up with:
Poppy Stamps March challenge - spring (spring colors and butterflies)
Craft Stamper Magazine - take a stamp (little birthday stamp)
Kim's birthday party over at Kylies' blog - how cool my colors fit perfectly :)
Winnie & Walter - join in to win

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM!!!

Lets check out  Tanja's artwork!

Happy Stamping!

Das wäre jammerschade gewesen, diesen Hintergrund wegzuwerfen! Viel besser, ihn in eine so tolle Karte umzuwandeln!

How could anyone throw away that background. Certainly not a crafter, that's for sure. What an amazing card this made. Your eye for design is just phenomonal.

I can't believe it. Even your scrap paper is clean, neat and graphic! Mine isn't fit for anything. Love the (neat) layers of colour, and the black makes them all pop.

Great recycling and also using the dots form the fall away from the butterfly die. Very contemporaneity card with the black die cuts really popping against the background.

It is so funny that you say this because when I was at a crop a couple weeks ago, my friends were telling me I should use my paper that I had shaded on. I just threw it away! I LOVE what you did with it, though. Stunning design!!

Love this unique design, with the way you've done the stenciling, the bright happy colors, bold sentiment combined with the smaller one, and the delicious butterflies singing a happy birthday to Kim! Really love this one. TFS

I saw this card in my inbox and wanted to comment on how beautiful it is! I was wondering how you made that amazing background... and come to find out it made itself!!! Wow what a great idea! The different colors blend in perfectly! it looks like you took painstaking time masking and spraying but it is not the case.. I think what makes it work are the black accents. Without it would not be as beautiful, gorgeous, and I say genius Cornelia!! This would be good for HOC as well... Maybe it already is.. take care!!
cyber hugs,
shawna

Easter Egg and Bunny

Hi Everyone, I made a bunch of Easter cards, after all its little more than one month and I need to send them out in time... You see, they are all similar - using both the die cut and the negative, that I cut from a die cut egg. The cute bunnies got their yearly appearance - they are from Impression Obsession. the egg is by Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Papertrey. And here are bigger photos from this set: Linking up with Creative with Stamps - Easter The Paper Players - die cutting Die Cut Divas - animals Happy Little Stampers - anything goes with dies

Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it. And here is a close -up: Challenges: Dynamic Duos CAS Colours and Sketches Addicted to Stamps and More Amusing Challenges Materials: Papertrey Background Basics: Super Stripes, Memory Box Chloe Stem die. --X-- Card for Maddy: You may know already about  Maddy ,  who  was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and went through chemotherapy treatment followed by a stem cell transplant from her (then) fifteen year old sister Melanie.  She now has a relapse and this car
