Funky Fossil Designs - Steampunk Pets

Hi Everybody!  I am back with a card for  Funky Fossil Designs . Recently Funky Fossil came out with some cool steam punk sets. I am using the cat from Steampunk Pets  here. Isn't she cool? This set perfectly combines with the Engine Room paper pad. This is available as an 6x6 and 8x8 block. I stamped the cat and heat embossed it in gold. I colored it with alcohol ink markers and fuzzy cut it. I heat embossed sentiment (same set).  Supplies I used: Engine Room paper pad     Steampunk Pets   I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Crackerbox Stamps -- Old Enough to Know Better

Hi Everybody!   I am back with my  Crackerbox Stamps  post for this week . Crackerbox Stamps just had a new release with hilariously snarky sentiments. One of which I used here.  Some of the products I have used have been provided to me from various companies I design for. Affiliate links may be used in the links provided below.    I stamped Helen and colored her with alcohol ink markers. I masked Helen. Then I brushed the background with distress oxide inks. Stamped the sentiment. Simple one layer card. Don't forget about the new stamp sale: And here is the card I made for the Instahop - you can still join in HERE I first sponged the card base with distress inks and then applied a stencil over it. I stamped the  Martini Lady  and added some white accents. Stamped the sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed it.  The stamps I used for both cards: card 1:  Helen with Coffee   card 1:  So When is This card 2:  Unmedic...

Woodblock Wednesday - Etched Medallion

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with  Woodblock Wednesday  from Amy Tsuruta. It's such a good excuse to play with my favorite, neglected wood stamps! For this card I used the beautiful Etched Medallion - S5356 from Hero Arts. I colored it with alcohol ink markers. I fuzzy cut the medallion.  Found a strip of matching paper. Stamped the sentiment (Stampin' up). I used foam to mount the medallion to give it some dimension. I also added Crystal Lacquer to the center - you see a little reflection in the picture below. Hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Katzelkraft - Inspired by Karl Valentin I

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I am a huge fan of  Karl Valentin (1842-1948) a Bavarian comedian. He said a lot of funny as well as profound things and is still well known to this date. There is a little museum in Munich dedicated to him - definitely a worthwhile visit if you visit Munich and speak German...... This card uses one of his famous sayings. I think its really impossible to translate (at least for me), but here is a meager attempt that doesn't do it justice "We wanted to want it, but we didn't dare to". He had a special kind of humor. Of course I had to choose the rats for the illustration - they are simply the best with all their varied expressions! I stamped them with a touch of masking and water colored them. the pretty Washi tape is from Funky Fossil Designs.  Cut the sentiment apart, drew a frame around it and added it to my card.  The stamp I used is from the following set: Les Rats des Villes - KTZ179  (FRANCE) ...

Guest Designing for the Dream Factory/Traumfabrik

Hi Everyone, Today I am honored to be guest designing for the current Traumfabrik/Dream Factory challenge . It's a challenge about  movies and the inspiration will be coming from the movie the Croots. Don't worry If you don't know the movie you could watch the trailer or just make a card with animals, funny, stone age, jungle, etc. See the movie poster below. I pulled out my F unky Fossil Designs  supplies for this card. I mixed up the set  Ditsy Dinos  and  On Safari  to create my little scene. I colored with alcohol ink markers. Part of the animals I cut out, the lion and tree are stamped directly on the card and I masked them. This is the movie poster: Supplies I used: On Safari  Ditsy Dinos I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting and perhaps you'll find some time to paly along with the  Traumfabrik/Dream Factory challenge Happy Stamping! Linking up with: 2 Sisters on the Blog  -  Send a Smile 4 Kids  -
