Twofer #19 - Nautical

Hi Everyone,

the new Twofer challenge is out and instead of procrastinating I just went up to my  craft room and made two cards!

The theme is Nautical!

How cool! The only problem was, that I have way too many supplies I could possibly use. I settled on the big crab that I imported a while ago from Germany from the online shop Steckenpferdchen. They have some cool stuff in that store and clearly, I couldn't leave the crab there....

For this card I stamped the crab onto photo paper and added some splatters and smooshed a bit. Added the fish die cuts. The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday. I couldn't resist adding some googly eyes....

For my second card I stamped the crab in red tones, using and ombre ink pad from Michaels.

The thin frames are also from Steckenpferdchen. Tied a die cut fish to it and stamped the sentiment (Katzelkraft). Small googly eyes for this one.

Loving my Twofer cards!

Oh that crab or should I say, CRAB! He is FABULOUS and I love that you used one color of him on each card. Amazing! I certainly can see why it had to come home with you. Spectacular color and design on both cards. I smell a winner.

I've never seen crabs looking so bright and happy, Cornelia! Whether dressed in vibrant blue or ombre pink and sporting googly eyes, they look amazing! Love the smooched ocean background and fishes on your first card and the whimsical tied frames and fish on your second card! Thank you so much for being Johnny-on-the-spot in Twofer Card Challenge #19! Hugs, Darnell

Brilliant, Cornelia ... what a fantastic crab ... you showcased him beautifully on both cards ... no wonder he had to come home with you! On that first card, the ocean really does look as though it's washing over him ... and those googly eyes couldn't be more perfect! Love the crisp pink-ness of that second one with the more delicate, tiny eyes ... the collage look of the single fish and double frame over him is just delicious! So pleased you rushed up to your craft space to make these fabulous cards and play along with us at Twofer ... thank you! Hugs, Anita :)

I'm so glad you didn't leave that sweet crab stamp in the store, Cornelia! Love the size of him, and you've used him wonderfully on both cards. Great idea to use photo paper; it gives your card such a fun, different look. Love all the little fish you've added, too. And those eyes! Crabs do have funky eyes, and the googlies work perfectly. Your red crab with those frames and that fish really create a different look. Love that ombre ink as well. Thank you so much for joining us at the Twofer Challenge! Bev

Your crab is wonderful as a blue crab and a red one! I love your watery looking background and the clean look of the white die cuts on your first card. That fish tied to the frames in red thread is so artistic! Of course, I can never resist googly eyes! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

Easter Egg and Bunny

Hi Everyone, I made a bunch of Easter cards, after all its little more than one month and I need to send them out in time... You see, they are all similar - using both the die cut and the negative, that I cut from a die cut egg. The cute bunnies got their yearly appearance - they are from Impression Obsession. the egg is by Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Papertrey. And here are bigger photos from this set: Linking up with Creative with Stamps - Easter The Paper Players - die cutting Die Cut Divas - animals Happy Little Stampers - anything goes with dies

Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it. And here is a close -up: Challenges: Dynamic Duos CAS Colours and Sketches Addicted to Stamps and More Amusing Challenges Materials: Papertrey Background Basics: Super Stripes, Memory Box Chloe Stem die. --X-- Card for Maddy: You may know already about  Maddy ,  who  was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and went through chemotherapy treatment followed by a stem cell transplant from her (then) fifteen year old sister Melanie.  She now has a relapse and this car

Mirror Image Stamping with So Suzy and the MISTI

Hi Everyone, I am so happy to be part of this wonderful event - the collaboration between So Suzy and the MISTI from My Sweet Petunia doing mirror image stamping.  This event is going on for the ENTIRE  MONTH! We are demonstrating the  Mirror Image Stamp    which coordinates with the Misti Stamping Tool! All month long, different bloggers will post a card using the  Mirror Image Stamp .  In my tutorial today, I will show you how use the  Mirror Image Stamp  on your cards. You can basically double your stamp supplies that way! The  mirror image stamp  is  a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of red rubber with no foam backing. So much larger than the other mirror image stamps out there and therefore much more useful! Mirror Image stamp ,  Two Cats in a Tree If you want a video tutorial on how to do this I can highly recommend you watch THIS VIDEO on youtube. Explains it all in very little time! Or you can see the same thing on my photo tutorial. With mirror
