Bad Ideas Make the Best Memories

Hi Everyone,

I have to quickly write up this post, before the linky lists expire, for which I planned to link up this card.....
This card is full of mistakes, but I like it regardless.

First I took the wrong kind of card stock - regular, instead of water color. But it came out ok.....kind of. Then I die cut the opening and despite checking, where the  hinge is, I managed to had it turned 90 degrees with respect to the first one I cut.....start again??? No way. I just tuned it again for the third cut, to fool people into thinking I deliberately cut it that way.....

After that it was smooth sailing. Marked where I wanted my Katzelkraft rats, stamped them and colored them. Stamped the sentiment - also from Katzelkraft. It is so funny and so true! Added some thin Washi tape to the windows, to make opening them easier.

Can you relate to this sentiment? Any funny stories to share?
Happy Stamping!

I love it, and it turned out brilliant even with the errors. Love those rats. My mistakes are always miss cuts doesnt matter how often I measure I always end up cutting wrong and end up with pieces so much smaller than they started out because I had to keep trimming, other is using the wrong card stock instead of copic cardstock and having my colouring bleeding everywhere.

Such a fun card and love the 'deliberate' mishap lol x Yes can relate to the sentiment and also when things don't go quite right, you remember them the most x Thanks for sharing this fun card x

Yep, I do have stories that relate to this sentiment...none of which I want to be out there in the blogosphere. Don't think my pride can take it. But our rats seem to be OK with it. Honestly, you do make the most enjoyable cards ever. And your so clever at fixing your "mistakes".

So glad you found a way to save the card as it is a remarkably great design.

Katzelkraft - Stampotique Raven

Hi Everyone, Do you know that   Katzelkraft has aquired Stampotique stamps? This fun raven is designed by Daniel Torrente (#6314). I used an old background from my stashs.  I stamped the bird and colored it with alcohol ink markers.  I brushed distrss ink onto the background and added some pattern with the   Mandala Magic stencil  from Funky Fossil Designs.I used one of the border stamps on the left for more interest.  Stamped the sentiment  and doodled a frame around the sentiment.Added a googly eye to the bird and drew in some eye lashes.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Spiral Borders - KTZ286,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276  (FRANCE) Spiral Borders  - KTZ286 , Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276 (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Some more Christmas Cards...

Hi Everyone, there still are some Christmas cards  I made awhile ago and have not yet posted.... This one I made for the  Runway Inspired Challenge . The inspiration photo is below. I found it a little tricky to make this into a Christmas card, but with the help  of Neat&Tangled stamps it worked....The stitched dies are by Simon Says. Added some Washi tape on top (the headdress) and silver glitter paper at the bottom (the floor and silver shoes) and voila a Christmas card! My second card I made with an iStencil, gold embossing paste, faux pearls, an enamel dot and lots of splatters. The stitched die I cut the Kraft panel with is by Simon Says. I love this stencil and stenciled cards are just so quick and easy to make. I used this one for several cards this year, on of which you can see HERE . http://www.istencils.com/store/products/22-00029 I am linking up this card with: Stamps and fun=Creativity - Christmas U...
