A Winter and a Summer Card

Hi Everyone,

I am playing along with the weather here, which can not yet decide if its going to be warm or cold....
My first card is for this weeks Muse Christmas Vision, where my talented friend Suchi from Suchi's Cardstock is our guest designer. She made a delightful card!

Here is Suchi's card:

I went with the red and green color scheme, but exchanged the baubles for penguins (Inkadinkadoo). Sponged the sky  and added falling snow with a Simon Says stencil and embossing paste.

So how about you playing along, too?

ABC Christmas Card challenge - I is for Ink (background made with distress ink)
CHNC - anything Christmas
Merry Monday - let it snow

My second card has a more summery feel and I made it after the CAS Colour and Sketches sketch.

It is actually a tricky little sketch. I played around a bit, before I was happy. But I like unusual requirements and a real challenge!
Took my favorite iStencil - I can't get enough of it and sponged in yellow and blue. The acetate butterflies I had in my stash basically forever, made  a bunch of them a long time ago with STAMPlorations stamps, and those two survived a previous card....

The pretty sentiment is by Happy Little Stampers

Hello Cornelia: I just saw your card at the CAS colours and sketches challenge and I was just astonished at the amazing design on it!!! This stencil is a feast for the eyes, specially with the bright and beautiful colors you used. The acetate butterflies look gorgeous, I must remember that, using Stazon ink, you can stamp on it and the image will never smudge.
Thank you for sharing your gorgeous card and now, guess where I'm going, LOL!! I clicked on the link you provided for this stencil and was amazed at the lovely stencils they have at this store, believe it or not, I only have ONE little stencil but in a few minutes I will probably have a good bunch.
Oh, and I'm pinning your card, just gorgeous.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.

Such a fun take on the Christmas card, as always so very clever. WOW on the second card. CAS sketch and colours but you so make it your own. That stencil is fabulous or more accurately you use it fabulously and loving those acetate butterflies x
Wow! Both cards are wonderful. Love your take on MCV - funny use of round shapes as penguins and color combo for hats. This is very smart! - Sweet Kobylkin

Easter Egg and Bunny

Hi Everyone, I made a bunch of Easter cards, after all its little more than one month and I need to send them out in time... You see, they are all similar - using both the die cut and the negative, that I cut from a die cut egg. The cute bunnies got their yearly appearance - they are from Impression Obsession. the egg is by Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Papertrey. Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it. And here is a close -up: Challenges: Dynamic Duos CAS Colours and Sketches Addicted to Stamps and More Amusing Challenges Materials: Papertrey Background Basics: Super Stripes, Memory Box Chloe Stem die. --X-- Card for Maddy: You may know already about  Maddy ,  who  was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and went through chemotherapy treatment followed by a stem cell transplant from her (then) fiftee...

Mirror Image Stamping with So Suzy and the MISTI

Hi Everyone, I am so happy to be part of this wonderful event - the collaboration between So Suzy and the MISTI from My Sweet Petunia doing mirror image stamping.  This event is going on for the ENTIRE  MONTH! We are demonstrating the  Mirror Image Stamp    which coordinates with the Misti Stamping Tool! All month long, different bloggers will post a card using the  Mirror Image Stamp .  In my tutorial today, I will show you how use the  Mirror Image Stamp  on your cards. You can basically double your stamp supplies that way! The  mirror image stamp  is  a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of red rubber with no foam backing. So much larger than the other mirror image stamps out there and therefore much more useful! Mirror Image stamp ,  Two Cats in a Tree If you want a video tutorial on how to do this I can highly recommend you watch THIS VIDEO on youtube. Explains it all in very little time! Or you can see the...
