Skateboarding into several Challenges

Hi Everyone, I have not made a card in a few days now and I really wanted to make one tonight, but I wasn't sure what to do.... ....until I saw this weeks  CAS(E) this Sketch and then it clicked! Of course I had to squeeze in a color challenge and this week's  Color Throwdown  supplied just the right colors for what I had in mind. And what's even better I also could incorporate the theme for the  Shopping our Stash  challenge - something for the big boy! Now what a fortunate coincidence! A three in one! The stamp is ancient - bought a long time ago on one of those stamp fares and so far NBUS. The sentiment is by Happy Little Stampers, the set is called Mix Mash . I love it - great fonts and happy birthday in all sorts of different sizes. I stamped the skateboarder and masked him and then sponged the strip. Really quick. - Added an enamel dot, although I was wondering if it would trip that skateboarder and catapult him off his board.....

Muse Christmas Vision #38

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with the Muse Christmas Vision - this time it is Maria Fischer from Riesling Mama , who made a real fun card for us! I  did not have suitable PP, so I took my SS stencil and made some grey snow. The wonky Christmas Tree is from Hero Arts, colored with Copics and added an enamel dot. The pretty sentiment is by Stampendous. And that is Maria's inspiration card: Another look: So, are you inspired? I bet you are! You are my Most Favorite

Hi Everyone, Conil from Which Craft? inspired me to play along with the Ellen Hudson pin sights challenge . She made the most gorgeous card - you have to go over and see it! Initially I was not thrilled about the colors - a bit drab....but after seeing her card I gave it a try. I made the background paper with water color. Added the sentiment (Neat&Tangled) and the die cuts (Ellen Hutson)  As you can see, I also added some splatters, Washi tape and enamel dots. My husband thought its too busy. Perhaps he is right. I think its okay - it does not always have to be CAS, right? Also linking up with: Snippets Playground - use a snippet (green flowers) Happy stamping!

Muse Christmas Vision #37

Hi Everyone, first of all I wish you all a Happy Easter!!!!  Never mind that I have a Christmas card to share today, but now since Easter is basically over you may want to get started on your Christmas cards ;) .... Have you seen Emily Leiphart's fabulous Inspiration card over at Muse Christmas Vision ? So whimsical - I had to play along, just for the fun of it! Love that Yeti and those winter jars..... So I made a jar card and filled with winter. Stamps are by Hero arts (tree), cheapo Michaels stamp (snowman) and unknown Santa with reindeers. The card is pretty small - used an Avery Elle die... ....but its a shaped card and therefore is allowed to play in the Happy Little Stampers Christmas challenge . The don't have size restrictions ;) Also linking up with: One Layer Christmas Card challenge  - anything Christmas     So unpack your Christmas stamps and play along!

3 Birthday Critters

Hi Everyone, I am sharing a card today that I made for Freshly Made Sketches and   Fusion challenges . You may have noticed that I do not often play in sketch challenges, but the Freshly Made one is so fun and unique, I had to play along! And the Fusion picture is just too cute to ignore..... Took my Paper Smooches sets, stamped the critters and colored them with Copics. Die cut some PP squares and put it all together. I just love this! Uniko Challenge Reminder

Hi Everyone, I have the honor of making a reminder card for the Uniko challenge .  The theme for the current challenge is Easter/Spring!  Beverly was really generous and sent me a lot of digi stamps from Uniko to use for this card. Little did she know that I am a digidiot (digital idiot). So I putzed around basically forever and could not get the grouping I wanted with the outline flowers. Worked without problems with those black ones. So I finally gave up.... Printed the black flowers onto water color paper. Took watercolors and puddled around them - it has a kind of tropical spring feel. I hope you forgive me, but this is the best I could do.... .....fast forward a day. Did some thinking.... and here is card #2 I figured I can just print some of those pretty flowers, color them (used water colors) and cut them out! I popped them up with foam tape. The background I made with an iStencil.  I also added tickle to the ...

Stamp Connection #11

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our eleventh transatlantic get-together! This time it was my turn to pick the requirements: I picked recycling. If you wondered what I recycled here - I always put paper in my spray carton and have been saving it for some occasion - it always looks so pretty. So I finally found a reason to recycle that paper into a card. It would be a pity to throw it out, right? And this is one quick background you don't have to make. It makes itself....   The butterflies are by Poppy Stamps and Martha Stewart. the happy is by Winnie & Walter. I also added some of the die cut dots from the large butterfly to the card and an enamel dot. Linking up with: Poppy Sta...
