Two Very different Cards!

Hi Everyone,

I have two cards for you today.

For the first one I pulled out my cute YNS stamps  and I am playing in their latest color challenge - you have to pick at least 3 colors. I settled for green, yellow and a tiny blue ink splot.

Made a puddle of water on water color paper and then filled it in with water colors. Waited for it to dry and then stamped that sassy snake on it. Added some definition with a white Sharpie and some splatters, as well as the sentiment.

This is a one layer card - I love to make those. Rounded the corners.

And now my second card - very different and not my usual style. but I wanted to use my Ryn Tanaka stamps again - thy need to be inked up every once in a while..... This one I have had for a long time and actually never used.... I also wanted to play in the WOW embossing powder challenge - not quite sure how long Mr. Linky is going to be open and I did not want to miss the deadline...

I stamped the spiral shell with Versamark and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then made the background using shimmer sprays in rainbow colors and once dry added some more stamping with the smaller stamp from the sea bubbles set. My sentiments are by Stamplorations - Artful Flutters

As luck will have it Shopping our Stash current challenge is opposite day - how fitting, since I am really a CAS gal and that is quite the opposite of what I normally do. I still like it and it also shimmers beautifully!
Of course I am linking up with Ryns' April customer card gallery

Happy stamping Everyone and there is still a little bit of time to participate in my 200 follower celebration - there is a nice give away - interested? Click HERE!

Whoa! Both of these cards are really different! Miss.CAS perfectionist, the first card is so cool and makes you smile! The second card is vibrant and happy! I loved how you used the clear embossing technique here. :) Always glad to stop by your blog.

Die Karte mit der Schlange gefällt mir sehr gut, besser als die mit den Schneckenhäusern. Vermutlich, weil die erste Karte mit wenig Zutaten dermaßen aussagestark ist. Ich mag diesen Stil.

Hey Cornelia, makes me feel so good to read that you like coming back to my stamps every once in a while :) It's honestly always a treat to see how you use them. You say that the second card isn't your style but it looks GORGEOUS! Love those colours :) Many thanks for continuing to share your art with me!

Yes, your cards are different, but their connection is how awesome they both are! I'm being repetitious, however, you're to blame: you continue to design cards that are exponentially marvelous. Your snake, stamped in his green water-coloured puddle, is darling (if that can be said of snakes *grin*). Your second card: fresh, bright, beautiful. Love them both!

Easter Egg and Bunny

Hi Everyone, I made a bunch of Easter cards, after all its little more than one month and I need to send them out in time... You see, they are all similar - using both the die cut and the negative, that I cut from a die cut egg. The cute bunnies got their yearly appearance - they are from Impression Obsession. the egg is by Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Papertrey. And here are bigger photos from this set: Linking up with Creative with Stamps - Easter The Paper Players - die cutting Die Cut Divas - animals Happy Little Stampers - anything goes with dies

Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it. And here is a close -up: Challenges: Dynamic Duos CAS Colours and Sketches Addicted to Stamps and More Amusing Challenges Materials: Papertrey Background Basics: Super Stripes, Memory Box Chloe Stem die. --X-- Card for Maddy: You may know already about  Maddy ,  who  was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and went through chemotherapy treatment followed by a stem cell transplant from her (then) fiftee...

Mirror Image Stamping with So Suzy and the MISTI

Hi Everyone, I am so happy to be part of this wonderful event - the collaboration between So Suzy and the MISTI from My Sweet Petunia doing mirror image stamping.  This event is going on for the ENTIRE  MONTH! We are demonstrating the  Mirror Image Stamp    which coordinates with the Misti Stamping Tool! All month long, different bloggers will post a card using the  Mirror Image Stamp .  In my tutorial today, I will show you how use the  Mirror Image Stamp  on your cards. You can basically double your stamp supplies that way! The  mirror image stamp  is  a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of red rubber with no foam backing. So much larger than the other mirror image stamps out there and therefore much more useful! Mirror Image stamp ,  Two Cats in a Tree If you want a video tutorial on how to do this I can highly recommend you watch THIS VIDEO on youtube. Explains it all in very little time! Or you can see the...
