Guest Designing for The Heart Desires Challenge - Midpost Reminder

Hi Everyone,   The Heart Desires challenge  is still in full swing! You probably have already seen this months' amazing mood board - it for sure will stimulate your imagination . I just love the colors. For my second card I went with the flamingos. They are from MFT. I used watercolor to color them.  The relax is by SSS and I used a polka dotted embossing folder - after all there are some polka dots on the mood board. Couldn't ignore those... Added enamel dots for balance and to get more of the colors from the board. I hope you'll find time to  play along ! Happy Stamping! Ellen Hutson and Avery Elle

Hi Everyone, it has been awhile that I played along with the Ellen Hutson Mix-up challenge - but I made it this time! The mix-up is with Avery Elle. I first stamped the border (Avery Elle) and water colored it. Added the little hexagons. Die-cut the sentiment (Ellen Hutson) and added some sequins. And here I wanted to share a fabulous card with you, that I got from my stamping friend Stephanie Lanzalotto from My Ink Well  - isn't it adorable?!!! We recently found out that we live fairly close to each other and we had a little stamping get-together. I forgot to take pictures, oh well. We just had too much fun together, to think about such things. Happy Stamping!

So Suzy Butterflies

Hi Everyone, this gorgeous butterfly is from the new  So Suzy Stamps  release. It reminds me about a Brimstone butterfly.  I wanted to create a delicate card in green and yellow, but my first attempt failed. But I am not going to throw out a nice piece of watercolor card stock.....I had first heat embossed the butterflies and then added the water color. I was not happy with the result, so I tried to wash it off, which only partially worked. I spare you the uglyness..... My stamp supplies: Olesyas Butterfly ,  Simple Birthday I started to color in the butterflies with more vivid colors I first used yellow and while it was still wet I added a rim of teal It blends with the yellow all on its own - you have to do nothing but watch. Once I filled in all the butterflies I added tiny black dots to the antennae. I trimmed the card stock, heat embossed the sentiment on a dark blue scrap piece and added it with another neon yel...

Bad Ideas Make the Best Memories

Hi Everyone, I have to quickly write up this post, before the linky lists expire, for which I planned to link up this card..... This card is full of mistakes, but I like it regardless. First I took the wrong kind of card stock - regular, instead of water color. But it came out ok.....kind of. Then I die cut the opening and despite checking, where the  hinge is, I managed to had it turned 90 degrees with respect to the first one I cut.....start again??? No way. I just tuned it again for the third cut, to fool people into thinking I deliberately cut it that way..... After that it was smooth sailing. Marked where I wanted my Katzelkraft rats , stamped them and colored them. Stamped the sentiment - also from Katzelkraft . It is so funny and so true! Added some thin Washi tape to the windows, to make opening them easier. Can you relate to this sentiment? Any funny stories to share? Happy Stamping!
