Peace for Ukraine

Hi Everyone,

these days I feel myself consumed about the war Russia is waging in Ukraine. It is just unbelievable and senseless in so many ways. I feel it's just another step back into the dark past. There are so many things that nowadays are going backwards instead of forward, but this war impacts a nation of 44 million people and many of which have already lost or given up their homes, being separated, living in fear or have lost a loved one. And it's just the beginning. It also seems that only a small minority really wants this. My heart goes out for everybody that got affected, including those Russians, who found themselves trapped in this grisly situation.

I figured I make a card, joining many of my card makers that want to express their solidarity with Ukraine. You may know that there is a card auction on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/ukrainecarddrive/?hl=en) and there is a #cardsforukraine link up on Instagram as well.

I don't really have a dove, so I used the pigeon from Cats on Appletrees for my Ukraine inspired card. The Peace sentiment is from a Christmas set from Simon Says Stamps.

Thanks for visiting.

Peace for Ukraine!

Pigeons Smidgeons...looks like a dove to me. This card is just perfect. I, too, can hardly contain my rage about Putin's tactics. Just feel terrible about the people of Ukraine and Russia who are caught in the middle of his vile meglomania.

This card perfectly reflected all your feelings about what is going on beyond my eastern border. Thank you for this card, because Poland and the Polish nation participate to some extent in the macabre of this war. We have welcomed so many people fleeing their homes in Ukraine, because that is what anyone with a heart would do. It's hard, especially in the face of huge inflation that we have in our country, but I'm sure that we will all manage together. And when it's over, it'll be back to how it used to be...

Katzelkraft - Stampotique Raven

Hi Everyone, Do you know that   Katzelkraft has aquired Stampotique stamps? This fun raven is designed by Daniel Torrente (#6314). I used an old background from my stashs.  I stamped the bird and colored it with alcohol ink markers.  I brushed distrss ink onto the background and added some pattern with the   Mandala Magic stencil  from Funky Fossil Designs.I used one of the border stamps on the left for more interest.  Stamped the sentiment  and doodled a frame around the sentiment.Added a googly eye to the bird and drew in some eye lashes.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Spiral Borders - KTZ286,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276  (FRANCE) Spiral Borders  - KTZ286 , Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276 (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - fur or feathers

Some more Christmas Cards...

Hi Everyone, there still are some Christmas cards  I made awhile ago and have not yet posted.... This one I made for the  Runway Inspired Challenge . The inspiration photo is below. I found it a little tricky to make this into a Christmas card, but with the help  of Neat&Tangled stamps it worked....The stitched dies are by Simon Says. Added some Washi tape on top (the headdress) and silver glitter paper at the bottom (the floor and silver shoes) and voila a Christmas card! My second card I made with an iStencil, gold embossing paste, faux pearls, an enamel dot and lots of splatters. The stitched die I cut the Kraft panel with is by Simon Says. I love this stencil and stenciled cards are just so quick and easy to make. I used this one for several cards this year, on of which you can see HERE . http://www.istencils.com/store/products/22-00029 I am linking up this card with: Stamps and fun=Creativity - Christmas U...
