Funky Fossil Design Team

Hi Everyone, I have great news - Sarah Grey from Funky Fossils Designs asked my if I want to be on her design team - guess what? I said YES! My work situation has relaxed and I just quit 2 DT's before I knew this would be happening and I actually have time to do this. You all know how much I love stencils, so that was an offer I could not refuse. Sarah has not only a huge selection of wonderful stencils in her store, but she also carries some super cute stamp sets, one of which I used for my first card:  This set is called  Chubby Unicorns  and below you can see all the stamps on it. I combined it with the  Sunray stencil      For my second card I used the 3D Cubes stencil . Now this is just totally up my alley! I love geometric stuff, so that fits the bill. I made myself a mask for the stencil, so I could color it with different colors. It brings out the 3D pattern much more that way. its was a tad fiddly, ...

Christmas Twofer

Hi Everyone, I really need to get going with my Christmas cards....and then I got the inspiration from my friend Rosi, who designs for 52CCT.  And then it all fell into place. 52 CCT might not like my little splash of green, since there theme is black and white....but then, they don't have to. I like it and it also fits the Time out challenge.... I love this pretty Tim Holtz cover plate. It kind of makes quick Christmas cards, if you don't count poking out all those little die cuts, that get stuck in there....Besides that, you can get several cards out of this one, as you are left with all those cute little die cuts. Of course I had to used them for a second card and I still have lots of left overs.... The sentiment is by STAMPlorations. And here is my second card: I used some matching Washi tape and lined the die cuts up. Attached them to the Kraft card base. Added some hemp twine and the tiny tag. The little sentiment is by Papertrey. Also ad...

The Back Stories With Darnell and Cornelia - #10 EUNICE

EUNICE Eunice loved performing at birthday parties for the little kids. They were always delighted with her performance and clapped like little maniacs. She hated the fact that she had only been allowed to perform at adult parties since that incident in 2015 outside of Chicago.  Since that time, Eunice had made it through her probation, done her community service, and sought medical help. Her psychiatrist and her veterinarian had determined that Eunice could not tolerate the sugar in the cupcake she devoured at the end of her performance. In order for the show to go on, a sugar-free gluten-free recipe had been developed and Eunice was now performing to the high standards of the Association of Hula Hooping Holsteins of America. Even so, no one had hired her for a child's party until today, and that was only because Paulette had gotten sick. Eunice sat patiently waiting for the excited children to quiet down so the lights could be dimmed and the curtain raise...

Hi Everyone, I wanted to play along with the AAA Card challenge - there is a sketch to work with. You can see it below. It's a real simple one. So I masked off a strip  of paper and sponged it. I took my Cats on Appletrees stamps and created this little scene. I was contemplating a sentiment, but I got  such a good reaction out of my husband that I decided it's not necessary....LOL! Katzelkraft meets iStencil

Hi Everyone, as you all know, Wednesday is Katzelkraft day on my blog. I also wanted to play with some of my beloved iStencil, so I figured, I combine those two companies....  The background I made with a MFT stencil and added the bats and cityscape. I added the lightening stencil and used gold embossing paste. The frightened little person is from the  Sherlock Holmes set , see picture below. I colored him with Inktense and cut him out with my Scan 'N Cut. Sherlock Holmes KTZ211 iStencils: Cityscape ,  Flying Bats ,  Lightning That golden lightening strike is real scary!
