Stamp Connection #40

Hi Everyone,

Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from Little Art Cottage and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our ninth transatlantic get-together!

This time it was Tanja's turn to pick the requirements:
BEACH

I am actually not a fan of the beach I prefer mountains. I get bored, don't like salt water and hate the sand getting into anything.... I guess I am probably pretty along out there with my views....
Nonetheless, I made a beach card.

Decided on a shaker with real sand from somewhere... The beach ball is just a punched out circle that I colored as a ball. The water I created with a an ancient sky stamp from Stampscapes. Added some "shark fins" and a ship - just cut from paper scraps.  I used an MFT stencil for the clouds. For the shaker window I used a stitched die by Simon Says Stamps.

Lets check out  Tanja's artwork!

Happy Stamping!

Brilliant scene, fabulous detailing, Cornelia ... love the sound of the real sand in the shaker! I guess the sharks might be another reason you're not a beach lover ... tee hee! Hugs, Anita :)

Oh wow! What a great beach card...especially from someone who is not a fan of beaches. Love that the shaker has both the sand and the beachball. Great idea to just let it roll around over that amazing seascape you created. I'm so impressed.
This is a magnificent beach scene card.

Thanks for linking up with us at the Double Trouble Papercrafting Challenge...I'm not a huge fan of the beach either...I don't like getting sand in everything!
Schaut super aus, danke dir für deine Teilnahme bei der Traumfabrik, liebe Grüße Bettina
Love that you made the sand into a shaker card...did a great job on your beach scene, and the stamping of a sky stamp for you water makes it look quite natural with waves. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble and please come back next Monday and see what Trouble Maker, Double Dare and Twisted Sister have up their sleeve for the next challenge.

Using sand for your shaker card was pure genius, Cornelia! Lovely coastal scene. I grew up on the Florida beaches so enjoy all things "beachy". Thank you for joining us at the Double Trouble Challenge.

Easter Egg and Bunny

Hi Everyone, I made a bunch of Easter cards, after all its little more than one month and I need to send them out in time... You see, they are all similar - using both the die cut and the negative, that I cut from a die cut egg. The cute bunnies got their yearly appearance - they are from Impression Obsession. the egg is by Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Papertrey. And here are bigger photos from this set: Linking up with Creative with Stamps - Easter The Paper Players - die cutting Die Cut Divas - animals Happy Little Stampers - anything goes with dies

Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it. Mirror Image Stamping with So Suzy and the MISTI

Hi Everyone, I am so happy to be part of this wonderful event - the collaboration between So Suzy and the MISTI from My Sweet Petunia doing mirror image stamping.  This event is going on for the ENTIRE  MONTH! We are demonstrating the  Mirror Image Stamp    which coordinates with the Misti Stamping Tool! All month long, different bloggers will post a card using the  Mirror Image Stamp .  In my tutorial today, I will show you how use the  Mirror Image Stamp  on your cards. You can basically double your stamp supplies that way! The  mirror image stamp  is  a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of red rubber with no foam backing. So much larger than the other mirror image stamps out there and therefore much more useful! Mirror Image stamp ,  Two Cats in a Tree If you want a video tutorial on how to do this I can highly recommend you watch THIS VIDEO on youtube. Explains it all in very little time! Or you can see the...
