Twofers Challenge #5

Hi Everyone,

here comes once again my last minute projects for the Twofer Card Challenge #5.
The theme is butterfly.
Took some thinking on my part.....

My supplies:
butterflies: STAMPlorations
sentiment: So Suzy Stamps
congrats die cut: CUTplorations
tiny butterfly die cuts: Memory Box
embossing plate: Papertrey

Not sure if you need much explanation here. I did make myself a stamp from the lacy butterfly die cut and heat embossed it in clear on my sympathy card. I embossed it with Kaleidoscope embossing powder on the congratulations card. So it has that fabulous iridescent shimmer.

Happy Stamping!

The monochrome sympathy card is so full of impact, Cornelia, the imagery is perfect with the sentiment. White on white is always gorgeous ... and with all the shimmer on this trio of butterflies here, it's just stunning! So pleased you made it to our gallery ... thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)

Love all the dimension and texture of both cards Cornelia. The dry embossing adds a special touch. The monochromatic colours work perfectly for your sympathy card with the butterfly aperture.

The shimmer from the iridescent finish on the butterflies of your second card is GORGEOUS! Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge. xx

Could you hear the giant "THUD" from my house. In my book, these are clearly winners. Elegant and gorgeous.

Suzanne's Surprise Blog Hop

Hi Everyone, I have a very special card for you today - a birthday card for Suzanne, the owner and talented force behind So Suzy Stamps! And we are celebrating this wonderful occasion with a special blog hop! You may have arrived from the wonderful Giada , our Italian contingent :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY Suzanne! I used the Blowing Butterflies  (heat embossed in gold)  and the Birthday Wishes  to create my card. I cut myself a gold frame from glitter paper and added a water color wash. I opened the frame on the side to have the butterflies and color spill out. Added lots of splatters and the heat embossed sentiment Your next stop on the hop is the talented Henriette - you are going to love her card! And just in case you get lost - below are all the participants listed. You even can get lucky and win a $20 gift certificate for So Suzy Stamps - sponsored by Justine and a  Bunkie Bag from Simply Charming Everyday, but you have to le...

Addicted to Stamps and More #134 and Spotlight Sneak Peek

Hi Everyone, Its challenge time at  ATSM ! For the next two week its going to be CAS - just my thing! And hopefully yours, too! I made a birthday card, because for some reason I always need more and never seem to have enough.... I was inspired by this weeks Make it Monday , where the talented  Ashley Newell  shows us a video about  stamps and doodling. Since I  mainly own die cuts from Papertrey and not so many stamps that would fit this theme I made my own out of fun foam, using my latest Papertrey dies (just got the order a few days ago) and cut those in fun foam - it works so well - voila - you have our own stamps, spending only a fraction of the money! I doodled around the stamps as you can see. Gives you kind of a cool effect....a little more tremor and one would think I drank too much ;) Added tiny enamel dots - do you know about this month House of Cards challenge - its enamel dots - thought I'll let you know..... Our wonderful spons...

Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it. And here is a close -up: Challenges: Dynamic Duos CAS Colours and Sketches Addicted to Stamps and More Amusing Challenges Materials: Papertrey Background Basics: Super Stripes, Memory Box Chloe Stem die. --X-- Card for Maddy: You may know already about  Maddy ,  who  was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and went through chemotherapy treatment followed by a stem cell transplant from her (then) fiftee...
