A Winter and a Summer Card

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with the weather here, which can not yet decide if its going to be warm or cold.... My first card is for this weeks Muse Christmas Vision , where my talented friend Suchi from Suchi's Cardstock is our guest designer. She made a delightful card! Here is Suchi's card: I went with the red and green color scheme, but exchanged the baubles for penguins (Inkadinkadoo). Sponged the sky  and added falling snow with a Simon Says stencil and embossing paste. So how about you playing along, too?  Linking up with: One Layer Christmas card challenge  - anything one layer Christmas ABC Christmas Card challenge - I is for Ink (background made with distress ink) CHNC - anything Christmas Merry Monday - let it snow My second card has a more summery feel and I made it after the CAS Colour and Sketches sketch. It is actually a tricky little sketch. I played around a bit, before I was happy. Bu...

Uniko Challenge

Hi Everyone, I finally own some Uniko stamps, thanks to my recent win and a generous gift certificate from Beverly, the sweet owner of Uniko stamps. I would own more stamps, if the shipping costs would not be so high....oh well, what am I complaining? I am lucky to live here in the US where most stamp companies are located.... Of course I had to use that stunning Gerbera for my card - I have had my eyes on this set literally forever! The theme for the Uniko challenge is metallics. I heat embossed in gold (WOW embossing powder) and then colored in the two outline images with my gold pigment watercolors. I then cut away the left hand corner of the black card stock, to lighten up the card a bit and used a scrap piece of an envelope liner. The sentiment is from the same set, heat embossed in white. Also linking up with: Snippets Playground - use a snippet - my snippet is the envelope liner TCP Tuesday - flowers Simon Says Monday challenge - metal (...

Today you are YOU!

Hi Everyone, I am playing with my YNS stamps in their current challenge . I just went with the sketch - see below. I just love their fun stamps and that Dr. Suess sentiment is one of my favorites. the card is pretty simple. I die cut the papers with a Simon Says die. Stamped the Zevras and fuzzy cut them and colored on with Copics. The pink one got some foam tape.  Here is that sketch: Happy Stamping!

Body Parts

Hi Everyone, Twofers has such a fun challenge going on right now - its all about "Body Parts". I like unusual themes, so naturally I had to play along... I used an iStencil for this and distress inks, left the center somewhat lighter. I then stamped the eye over the stencil and colored the blue squares with a white gel pen within the eye, so they are only faintly visible. Added the sentiment - is by Neat&Tangled and two enamel dots. Also linking up with Lost Coast Designs - anything goes Happy Stamping!

The Challenge

Hi Everyone, seriously did you think I could bypass that stunning inspiration photo from The Challenge ??? No way!!! Just took me a while to think how to convert the image into a card. Today I figured it out. Took that fun die cut from Poppy Stamps, did some sponging and inlaid die cutting. I could not settle on a sentiment, so I left it blank, for future use. Here is the photo: You did not think, that I would throw out the negative die cuts and those little pieces, did you? No, of course I made a second card with it: Here I added a little THANKS in the corner, its from CASual Fridays. Also linking up with:  Naughty or Nice - over the rainbow Fusion challenge - got inspired by the rainbow umbrella  Happy Stamping!
