Stempel Spass

Hi Everyone,   As some of you already know I developed more eye problems. I went back to work for 2 days and then developed a new tear in my retina which caused retinal detachment. I spent Saturday at the hospital getting emergency surgery. Now I am not allowed to do anything with either eye (since movement of one eye affects the other) for at least 3 months depending on how the healing goes. Throughout the month of October  you will see some blog posts coming up from me because they were all prepared before my surgery. And then there will be a long void... :((( I miss you all so much already and hopefully I will be back at some point in the future. Cornelia

Hi Everyone, its INSPIRATION day again at  STAMPlorations !  Again our wonderful DT made some beautiful cards to entice you playing with your stamps or stencils - STAMPlorations or otherwise. And perhaps I can also inspire you to play along with us! I got inspired to make this card by my teamie Kim from Art Keeps Me Sane , who had that brilliant idea to use STAMPlorations stamps for Halloween! I used the wonky houses  by Shirley and the trees from the Vignette series .     Did a lot of sponging with distress inks (and some masking). The bats are a Martha Stewart punch. I have not used my favorite STAMPlorations set in ages, so time to dust it off......Sponged the background, added the squares in different shades of green and once it was all dry I added the white squares - heat embossed and the rust colored squares to give it a bit more interest. I used a stitched frame to die cut the cardstock and mounted it onto fun foam.The sentiment is also heat embossed and mounted with foam tape. Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our fifth transatlantic get-together! This time it was my turn to pick the requirements : And I choose to imitate a famous piece of art I am sure you have seen this before - it is by  René Magritte  and is called  The Empire of Lights  ( L'Empire des lumières ). I love this painting and ever since Shirley Bampton did her little series on recreating art work with stamps I wanted to make this.      All my  supplies are by STAMPlorations, including the cloud stencil. It took me forever to make this - I'll keep it short - lots of masking and sponging. Next time I'll pick an easier topic, ha! Linking up with  Happy...

Hi Everyone, Its challenge time at  ATSM ! For  the  next 2 weeks we want you to play along with us - the topic is Anything Goes! The paint tubes are fuzzy cut from a PP by the Renke Manufaktur ( a sweet gift from my friend Elisabeth ). I mount with foam tape. A also gave them more vibrant colors.....the paint coming out of them is watercolor.
