Hi Everyone, we have a new mini release at  STAMPlorations .  Shirley Bampton created two adorable owl sets They are Big Owls  and Little Owls    Here is card #1: For this card I made a smooshed watercolor background. Stamped the owl and added white gel pen to the eyes and orange to the beaks. Splattered some.  Here is card #2: I stamped the owl and colored them with water brush pens. Stamped the sentiment. Used the crazy stitched die as border. Still wanted more of a border, so I sponged around the outside. Added some twine. Hi Everyone, it's Katzelkraft Wednesday! My Katzelkraft supplies: Robots Cle KTZ209 I took an old background from my stash. I stamped the robot and cut him with my Scan'N Cut. The coloring I did with Inktense and Stabilo markers. The pipe is a Memory Box die - used metallic paper. I write the sentiment and cut it out. Hi Everybody, a few of my card friends have shown some alcohol ink cards and this inspired me to get mine out again and play. My stamp supplies:  Olesya Side Bloom ,  Olesya Bloom , Love and happiness Forgive me for not having pictures of the process, but it is impossible to make an alcohol ink background and take pictures while you doing it. I like to wet my paper with blending solution - or even better 99% isopropyl alcohol, which only costs a fraction of the blending solution. I drip alcohol ink on it and use my heat tool to move the ink around and dry it. I took a regular brush and flicked clear alcohol onto the card, which gives you those little light colored bubbles. I took the bloom stamps and heat embossed them. If you use Yupo paper you have to be real careful, because it warps easily. The "paper" I used is Grafix opaque white craft plastic  - a present from my blogging friend Aileen Ryan from Colour and Sparkle . THANK YOU Aileen - that stuff

Hi Everyone, I always need some cards just to send out for no good reason or just a little picker upper.  The  Grungy Butterflies  from Rubber Dance will lift everyone's spirits! My stamp supplies: Grungy Butterflies I stamped the butterflies and wet them generously with water. Took Dylusion sprays and dabbed color onto the wet butterflies. Took a spray and sprayed them with water and let the water run down the card.The sentiment die is by STAMPlorations . Don't forget about our challenge, which goes until the end of the month. Hi Everyone, it has been awhile that I just made a card to play along in challenges.....but what caught my eye was the just opened Inkspirational challenge, so I had to play along (instead of making DT cards, that is....). The prompt is "FOLD" I right away knew what stamp to use. And since i have neglected my iStencils for a while, I selected one I thought would make a great background for this origami fold cat from Carabelle Studio.  I had this in my stash now for quite a while and it was until  now an NBUS..... The sentiment is from  Crackerbox & So Suzy Stamps . Added some Washi tape and enamel dots. My iStencil : The colors I got from the current Color Throwdown challenge - see picture below. Hi Everyone, its inspiration time at  STAMPlorations ! My stamp supplies: Happy Flowers stencil , Birthday die I made an alcohol ink background on Kraft Plastic - similar to Yupo paper. I took some foil and pressed it onto the little sticky areas. The foil sticks to this. You will see this better in the obliqued image. Took the stencil and laid it on the background. Took clear alcohol to dab off the open areas of the stencil - it removes the ink and leaves you with the negative picture. I took a thin Sharpie and outlined the stencil. The fun pig here in yellow is from the set Farm Animals . The background I made with an embossing folder and a stencil and the sentiment is a Dylusions set.
