A Card and two winners!

Hi Everyone,

you probably have been waiting to see if you were one of the two lucky gals in my blog follower celebration ! Well, today is the day!

I thought I'll do this the old fashioned way - having the names on little paper scraps and picking them out of a hat. So I typed up all the names from your wonderful comments you left on this blog post (orange pile) and made extras for the people who displayed my candy on their blog - the little pile on the green background

And they went into a jar together.....

But my son thought the honor of picking the winners should go to his hamster Akroma.

Unfortunately Akroma could not decide whom to pick.....
so we dumped the papers onto the rug, but Akroma just ran away.....

What to do?
I think we need Mr. Random.org - did you ever wonder how he looks like?
Here he is - wearing an octopus disguise:
Akroma is watching, making sure there is no cheating...

And we have our first winner:

Bobby from Bits and Pieces
you got the STAMPlorations gift certificate and Shery the owner bumped it up from $25 to $30 Yeahhh!!!!!

And now for the second winner:

drumroll, please......

Congratulations -
Kim from Art Keeps me Sane - you got yourself a gift certificate from iStencils - courtesy of Cheri from iStencils.
Can't wait to see what you guys will do with your goodies!

So you hopefully still want to see my card?
Here it is:

Had to use an iStencil - of course. This one is just so extremely versatile -  I have a lot of ideas how to use it in different ways.

Of course you probably figured out I made it for this weeks Muse challenge and you are right - Vicki Dutcher made this card - I knew right away I had to play!

Made my herringbone background with an Impression Obsession stamp. The Happy Birthday is by Neat&Tangled

You're a hoot! Too bad Akroma wasn't interested in picking the winner but he did participate in the ceremony. Congrats to the winners. If they don't choose your card for the challenges you're entering it into, there's something wrong with their sight because it's perfect.

Your card is fantastic. I had to look at all the pictures here because your hamster is so cute. I liked watching him try to pick a winner. He reminded me of the little pet rats we had a few years ago--such sweet little critters.

Hahahahaha...fabulous post, Cornelia! Akroma deserves extra treats for her efforts (don't blame her for dashing away...she probably wanted to choose everybody!). As for Mr. Random Org: I can sleep better at night, now knowing what he looks like. Whew! Your son is quite the character, obviously possessing a fantastic sense of humour! Congrats to Bobby and Kim - they'll work magic with their gifts. And speaking of magic: your card! Only AWESOME!

Easter Egg and Bunny

Hi Everyone, I made a bunch of Easter cards, after all its little more than one month and I need to send them out in time... You see, they are all similar - using both the die cut and the negative, that I cut from a die cut egg. The cute bunnies got their yearly appearance - they are from Impression Obsession. the egg is by Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Papertrey. And here are bigger photos from this set: Linking up with Creative with Stamps - Easter The Paper Players - die cutting Die Cut Divas - animals Happy Little Stampers - anything goes with dies

Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it. And here is a close -up: Challenges: Dynamic Duos CAS Colours and Sketches Addicted to Stamps and More Amusing Challenges Materials: Papertrey Background Basics: Super Stripes, Memory Box Chloe Stem die. --X-- Card for Maddy: You may know already about  Maddy ,  who  was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and went through chemotherapy treatment followed by a stem cell transplant from her (then) fifteen year old sister Melanie.  She now has a relapse and this car

Mirror Image Stamping with So Suzy and the MISTI

Hi Everyone, I am so happy to be part of this wonderful event - the collaboration between So Suzy and the MISTI from My Sweet Petunia doing mirror image stamping.  This event is going on for the ENTIRE  MONTH! We are demonstrating the  Mirror Image Stamp    which coordinates with the Misti Stamping Tool! All month long, different bloggers will post a card using the  Mirror Image Stamp .  In my tutorial today, I will show you how use the  Mirror Image Stamp  on your cards. You can basically double your stamp supplies that way! The  mirror image stamp  is  a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of red rubber with no foam backing. So much larger than the other mirror image stamps out there and therefore much more useful! Mirror Image stamp ,  Two Cats in a Tree If you want a video tutorial on how to do this I can highly recommend you watch THIS VIDEO on youtube. Explains it all in very little time! Or you can see the same thing on my photo tutorial. With mirror
