Embossed Christmas Card Trio

 Hi Everyone,

I was having fun with an embossing folder I bought a long time ago and so far have not used. Besides that I needed to use those two dies again - there can't be a year without them.

I actually intended to play in the Christmas Kickstart challenge with my first card, but then I discovered that it requires stamping, oh well. Plenty of other challenges around to throw in this card. I could have added a sentiment, but I didn't want to. Clearly not necessary.

The embossing folder is from Mundart Stempel - a Swiss company. The fun Santa and reindeer are from Dixi Crafts. I inked up the embossing folder with a brayer and ran it through my Big Shot. My blogging friend Coni from Which Craft?  reminded me about his technique. Its fun and works like a charm.

I made the background panel the same way. the die cuts are by Poppy Dies.

I used shimmer paper in black for my last card. the sentiment is by Dylusions stamps. Trimmed teh panel and added Washi tape on the side.

Three fun makes. The Santa and reindeer carrying the sack of toys made me laugh. Your black / red card is so cool and dramatic. Thank you for joining us at CAS Christmas.

Über cute cards Cornelia! Is it my imagination or do those two in the first card look like they're up to no good (or maybe I've just been reading too many of Darnell's stories)!

Hahaha! Das sind wieder mal lustige Weihnachtskarten! Warum müssen die immer ernst sein? Lustig ist viel interessanter.

You know how much I love these dies...they look great on most background but you always find the right ones to showcase them. So happy you tried that Jennifer McGuire technique. It worked amazingly on your embossing folder. I know it's going to be a staple in my craft area. Thanks for the shout out.

Katzelkraft - Stampotique Raven

Hi Everyone, Do you know that   Katzelkraft has aquired Stampotique stamps? This fun raven is designed by Daniel Torrente (#6314). I used an old background from my stashs.  I stamped the bird and colored it with alcohol ink markers.  I brushed distrss ink onto the background and added some pattern with the   Mandala Magic stencil  from Funky Fossil Designs.I used one of the border stamps on the left for more interest.  Stamped the sentiment  and doodled a frame around the sentiment.Added a googly eye to the bird and drew in some eye lashes.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Spiral Borders - KTZ286,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276  (FRANCE) Spiral Borders  - KTZ286 , Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276 (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - fur or feathers

Combined So Suzy and The Ton Blog Hop

Hi Everyone, I am sooooo excited to be part of this amazing event - a combined hop between So Suzy Stamps and The Ton! I have been eyeing The Ton stamps and dies for quite a while - they are just gorgeous! And So Suzy - well you have seen their stamps on my blog - they are simply fabulous! I also love that they are made from rubber - its different stamping with them. Its much better for generational stamping and they don't stick to your paper when you use your Misti. You may have arrived from the fabulous  Eunji - its a hard act to follow her.... I got those gorgeous  Peonies Dies  from The Ton and die cut them with water color paper. Spritzed Dylusion inks on a sheet of plastic and dipped the dies into the colors. Mounted them onto black card stock. Added the So Suzy Birthday sentiment - heat embossed in white. Lastly I added a strip of envelope liner paper at the bottom. Here are my supplies: So Suzy Birthday sentiment ,  Peo...
