It's Bean A While - So Suzy Stamps

Hi Everybody,

I made a coffee card with the new So Suzy Stamps release

My stamp supplies:

I will show you that even it you mess up a bit you can get a decent card with a few tricks.
Lets get started:

I stamped the cup and spoon onto white card stock.

Stamped it again and die cut the cup and fussy cut the spoon.

Added some coffee stains/splatters with a stencil onto my card stock. The nice thing is, that you don't need to mask anything.

Marked where the spoon will be and cut an opening for it, so I can tuck it under the cup handle.

See, what I mean?

Glued teh cut out cup onto the card base, added the spoon as well as the Hello into the center of the cup. I also added some shadows to give it some dimension. and added the sentiment. I don't know if you can see, that the sentiment is not parallel to the card. I saw it immediately and could not tolerate it. But I had put in too much effort to start over....

So I took a stitched border die and lined it up with the sentiment (used a ruler to make sure it is parallel) and die cut it. Mounted it onto a Kraft card base and added some white gel pen accents to the coffee foam. The other thing that happened, when I ran it trough my big shot to trim it it got a smudge. No big deal, I just added some more drops - you see them to the right of the spoon. Balances everything out, so a happy accident!

You may know this already, but just in case you don't.... We have a new feature here at So Suzy's.
Every month one of our DT members has a birthday you get on stamp with every order free.
This is Tracy's and Suzy's birthday month and THOSE are their stamps:

This is sooooo cool or hot...whatever. The coffee splash, the spoon, the white reflections on the coffee combine to make this look delicious. So worth the time and trouble you took. And I dearly love that sentiment.

Katzelkraft - Stampotique Raven

Hi Everyone, Do you know that   Katzelkraft has aquired Stampotique stamps? This fun raven is designed by Daniel Torrente (#6314). I used an old background from my stashs.  I stamped the bird and colored it with alcohol ink markers.  I brushed distrss ink onto the background and added some pattern with the   Mandala Magic stencil  from Funky Fossil Designs.I used one of the border stamps on the left for more interest.  Stamped the sentiment  and doodled a frame around the sentiment.Added a googly eye to the bird and drew in some eye lashes.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Spiral Borders - KTZ286,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276  (FRANCE) Spiral Borders  - KTZ286 , Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276 (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - fur or feathers

Combined So Suzy and The Ton Blog Hop

Hi Everyone, I am sooooo excited to be part of this amazing event - a combined hop between So Suzy Stamps and The Ton! I have been eyeing The Ton stamps and dies for quite a while - they are just gorgeous! And So Suzy - well you have seen their stamps on my blog - they are simply fabulous! I also love that they are made from rubber - its different stamping with them. Its much better for generational stamping and they don't stick to your paper when you use your Misti. You may have arrived from the fabulous  Eunji - its a hard act to follow her.... I got those gorgeous  Peonies Dies  from The Ton and die cut them with water color paper. Spritzed Dylusion inks on a sheet of plastic and dipped the dies into the colors. Mounted them onto black card stock. Added the So Suzy Birthday sentiment - heat embossed in white. Lastly I added a strip of envelope liner paper at the bottom. Here are my supplies: So Suzy Birthday sentiment ,  Peo...
