You are my Most Favorite

Hi Everyone,

Conil from Which Craft? inspired me to play along with the Ellen Hudson pin sights challenge. She made the most gorgeous card - you have to go over and see it! Initially I was not thrilled about the colors - a bit drab....but after seeing her card I gave it a try.

I made the background paper with water color. Added the sentiment (Neat&Tangled) and the die cuts (Ellen Hutson)

As you can see, I also added some splatters, Washi tape and enamel dots. My husband thought its too busy. Perhaps he is right.

I think its okay - it does not always have to be CAS, right?

No really doesn't have to be CAS and I love it! Gorgeous how you've used the colours, the water coloured striped background and all the elements make one fabby card....Maybe we shouldn't always show our Husbands our finished card...That's caught me out before too. Had a little chuckle about that x

Hi Cornelia!

Anything you make is always great in my book. I suspect your beloved hubs is used to more CAS cards from you - this one is lovely with the little more detail for a change.

Ha! Now try vintage to send him running for the hills! :)

I think it was a matter of opinion, it doesn't look too busy to me...it looks spectacular. Honestly gorgeous. Initially, wasn't sure about the colors myself, so kind of ignored them. But yous has incorporated them all and beautifully. Thanks so much for the shout out, it's much appreciated.

I think it's a great card from difficult colours - they wouldn't be what I chose off hand! I don't think it's too busy at all either. I love the streaks of blue on the background mixed with the gold down the side. xx

Just spotted your response to my comment - sniggering here! Why not link up into the Playground - now I BET that CAS die I have on offer as a prize would meet with the Bosses approval :)

Been to dentist today for a back tooth filling - why do I now feel my grin is as wide as a Muppet's? :(

Katzelkraft - Stampotique Raven

Hi Everyone, Do you know that   Katzelkraft has aquired Stampotique stamps? This fun raven is designed by Daniel Torrente (#6314). I used an old background from my stashs.  I stamped the bird and colored it with alcohol ink markers.  I brushed distrss ink onto the background and added some pattern with the   Mandala Magic stencil  from Funky Fossil Designs.I used one of the border stamps on the left for more interest.  Stamped the sentiment  and doodled a frame around the sentiment.Added a googly eye to the bird and drew in some eye lashes.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Spiral Borders - KTZ286,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276  (FRANCE) Spiral Borders  - KTZ286 , Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276 (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - fur or feathers
