Back Home and a Card

My time in Chicago went by very quickly - too quickly..... Every year I wish I could spend more time in this wonderful city. But its nice being back home too. So I had some time today and made a card for Dynamic Duos and combined it with CAS-ual Fridays:

All the die cuts, except the stars (Simon Says) are from Memory Box and the sentiment is by Mama Elephant - Merry Greetings. I hung the ornaments with silver thread - which required some fiddling around....and lastly I elevated the ornaments with foam dots.

And of course this card is largely made with snippets - it going into the Snippets Playground!

I want to share some pics from Chicago with you:

The modern Santa.....

The stairway in the Contemporary Art Museum.

The "Bean" by Anish Kapoor - one of my favorites...

A view onto the side gallery of the Art Institute - looks almost like a picture, don't you think?

And lastly the lions in front of the Art Institute - decorated for the Holidays!

You were right in my backyard! Absolutely love all your photos of my favorite places (except I haven't been to the Contemporary Art Museum yet). I enjoy Millennium Park in the winter because it's so quiet. I see you were the only one at the bean ... such a rare picture!

Love your card, especially the silver thread you used to hang the ornaments. So festive!

Also, not sure if I've mentioned this before, but whenever I click on "comments" from Bloglovin' to leave a comment for you, it goes to a blank screen, and I have to get to your blog in a different way. That only seems to happen with your blog for some reason. Sorry I'm not much help.

Love your card! And, thanks for the gorgeous photos of Chicago. I lived the first five years of my married life there. Three of my children were born there. I was so busy with babies and housekeeping that I didn't see the forest for the trees, so to speak!! LOL

Hi Cornelia, Bet it was frosty up in the windy city. So glad you were able to get out & enjoy the wonders of a big City. Thanks for sharing some lovely photos too. Your card is a great color choice, with the green & glitters going on. Love the ornaments suspended from that wonderful MB branch. Don't you just love those dies? Liked the sentiment too...TFS & Hugs
