The Playdate Cafe #186 and Make It Monday #121

Uh, oh - I just checked The Play Date Cafe when Linky expires - and that was in 3 hors and 39 minutes!!!! Well if you think about it  that is plenty of time, given that at the Hero Arts flickr group scramble the time limit is 90 minutes and that includes uploading your pics....

I already thought about the vellum flower thing that Betsy Veldman so expertly demonstrated on the weekly Make it Monday post from Papertrey. Originally I had something different in mind and I already had started it, but id did not work with those colors....And I don't really have a good Papertrey flower, that would work for this technique....So I pulled out one of my favorite flowers from Hero Arts, colored the vellum after heat embossing it and cut it out. I used the Papertrey Harlequin embossing folder to make the background. I first cut it, but I did not like how it shined/shone? through the vellum.

So I just embossed the paper with the Harlequin embossing folder. I glittered up the flower with Stickles. The sentiment strip is cut with a papertrey die and the sentiment is also from Papertrey - Global Greetings.
Here is a close-up:

I wonder if Papertrey likes the Hero Arts flower?

And then I changed my mind... - clearly I do have too much time at hands..... so I took the flower off, scored a white card stock and mounted the flower on that with a different sentiment (Papertrey Cutting Garden);

I like the white card the best - waht do you think?

And what does Mr. Linky say? 1 hour and 49 minutes - shall I try something else? Just kidding....

Sooooo pretty. For me, the white works better but that may be because I find that sentiment so perfect to balance the flower.

Einfach zauberhaft ....vor allem die zweite! Die hingehauchten, pudrigen Farben auf der embossten Pergamentblüte kommen auf der weißen Karte wahnsinnig gut zur Geltung. Ich bin begeistert!

Katzelkraft - Stampotique Raven

Hi Everyone, Do you know that   Katzelkraft has aquired Stampotique stamps? This fun raven is designed by Daniel Torrente (#6314). I used an old background from my stashs.  I stamped the bird and colored it with alcohol ink markers.  I brushed distrss ink onto the background and added some pattern with the   Mandala Magic stencil  from Funky Fossil Designs.I used one of the border stamps on the left for more interest.  Stamped the sentiment  and doodled a frame around the sentiment.Added a googly eye to the bird and drew in some eye lashes.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Spiral Borders - KTZ286,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276  (FRANCE) Spiral Borders  - KTZ286 , Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276 (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - fur or feathers

Combined So Suzy and The Ton Blog Hop

Hi Everyone, I am sooooo excited to be part of this amazing event - a combined hop between So Suzy Stamps and The Ton! I have been eyeing The Ton stamps and dies for quite a while - they are just gorgeous! And So Suzy - well you have seen their stamps on my blog - they are simply fabulous! I also love that they are made from rubber - its different stamping with them. Its much better for generational stamping and they don't stick to your paper when you use your Misti. You may have arrived from the fabulous  Eunji - its a hard act to follow her.... I got those gorgeous  Peonies Dies  from The Ton and die cut them with water color paper. Spritzed Dylusion inks on a sheet of plastic and dipped the dies into the colors. Mounted them onto black card stock. Added the So Suzy Birthday sentiment - heat embossed in white. Lastly I added a strip of envelope liner paper at the bottom. Here are my supplies: So Suzy Birthday sentiment ,  Peo...
