Washi Tape and Hanukkah

Here is my entry for the second KIS challenge - this time it is Washi tape. I putzed around with it two days ago, but was not happy with the result. You can find it under this entry. This card I like so much better, so in the challenge it goes. I saw a similar card in the past which inspired me to make this - I wish I'd remember who did it, to give credit, but I don't.  The splatters I did with a wet paintbrush and distress inks and just flicked them onto the paper. Somehow it really stains your fingers..... The sentiment and flourish is from Hero Arts, the little orange splatter in the left bottom corner is from Papertrey. I put glossy accents on it, but it does not show on the photo.

In the afternoon I surprisingly had more time and played around with a Hanukkah card. First I though it does not need a sentiment, but then I changed my mind. The candles are just colored paper. The flame I made from a left over piece of rubber and the small circles are Hero Arts. The bigger one I sponged from a mask made with a 1 1/2 inch paper punch. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession.

Die Spritzer sind die perfekte Ergänzung zum Washi tape. Ich bin immer neidisch wenn jemand verschieden breite Washi Tapes hat. Meine sind fast alle gleich breit. Danke fürs Mitmachen bei keep it simple!

Beautiful! I love cards that are simple, but have that special something. On your card, it's the colours and those colour splatters.
Thank you very much for joining us at KEEP IT SIMPLE!,

Katzelkraft - Stampotique Raven

Hi Everyone, Do you know that   Katzelkraft has aquired Stampotique stamps? This fun raven is designed by Daniel Torrente (#6314). I used an old background from my stashs.  I stamped the bird and colored it with alcohol ink markers.  I brushed distrss ink onto the background and added some pattern with the   Mandala Magic stencil  from Funky Fossil Designs.I used one of the border stamps on the left for more interest.  Stamped the sentiment  and doodled a frame around the sentiment.Added a googly eye to the bird and drew in some eye lashes.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Spiral Borders - KTZ286,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276  (FRANCE) Spiral Borders  - KTZ286 , Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276 (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - fur or feathers
