Love and Joy come to You

Hi Everyone, I took a month off making Christmas cards, but now I am back - I am so glad I made all those cards throughout the year. Last year was the first year ever where I had enough cards and did not need to struggle to make them at the last minute!  I am playing along with 52CCT - it's a sketch this time.  I used a background paper from Funky Fossil Designs and added stars with a Memory Box stencil. I also die cut some stars (Lil Inkers) using shimmer silver paper. I thought it to be somewhat bland, so I used some spray at the top of the card for more color. After it dried I assembled everything. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions - it's heat embossed. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  Linking up with: 52CCT  - sketch

Topflight Stamps - Crafty Individuals

Hi Everyone, This week we are featuring Crafty Individuals at the  Topflight blog . I happen to love their stamps and by now have a nice collection of them. that beautiful hare has been on my "watch" list for a while and since Easter is coming I figured he might be of use! Even that in the end this didn't turn into an Easter card..... I tried out a new card stock paper - the  Hunkydory 6x6 card block . It is very nice. Thick, strong paper (300gms), bight white. I started with stamping the hare onto my card. I made a mask for him. Then I started brushing the background (distress oxide inks). Colored the hare and moon with water brush pens. I.and added a few water splatters. Heat embossed the sentiment and added it with foam tape.    I started with brushing the background and added a few water splatters. Colored the animals with alcohol ink markers. Stamped the sentiment and trimmed the card. Added a strip of wood paper on the side.  I hope ...

Katzelkraft - Be Yourself

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post.  I made several gel press backgrounds and really liked that one, although it was just a byproduct from rolling off my brayer. I always use thick card stock paper for that, since I usually like the outcome and don't want to have to work with flimsy copy paper. I stamped the animal directly onto the card. I stamped it again onto scrap paper and colored it with alcohol ink markers. Cut it out. I added some green splatters to my background. Did some sponging around the edges of the upper part. Added the critter to my card. Stamped and heat embossed the sentiment.  The stamps I used are from the following set: All Mad Here  - KTZ298  , Ataraxia Quotes - KTZ290   ( FRANCE) All Mad Here -  KTZ298 ,  Literary Quotes  - KTZ290   (USA) And don't forget to take advantage of this great offer! Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Th...

Hi Everybody!  I am here with my  Crackerbox Stamps  post.  Some of the products I have used have been provided to me from various companies I design for.  Affiliate links may be used in the links provided below.   Since Valentine's Day is coming up I figured a love themed card is in order! I have made a similar card in the past - CASeing myself, if you will... I first stamped the heart with Versamark. Shifted the card a bit in my Misti and stamped again with Versafine Clair black ink. Heat embossed with clear embossing powder. This way you get that white shadow. I masked a strip and sponged/brushed with distress inks. Added black splatters. Stamped the sentiment. Winter Wishes

Hi Everyone, I took a month off making Christmas cards, but now I am back - I am so glad I made all those cards throughout the year. Last year was the first year ever where I had enough cards and did not need to struggle to make them at the last minute!  I am playing along with 52CCT - the theme is Paper Piecing.  I used the beautiful  White Winter Magic paper pad  from Funky Fossil Designs for the background and the snowman. The hat and scarf are from a bit of scrap paper. The funny snowman is a Stampers Anonymous set that I bought last year, but didn't have time to ink up. There is also a funny Santa and Reindeer in this set, but I was too lazy to do more paper piecing...The sentiment is from the same set - it's heat embossed. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  Linking up with: 52CCT - Paper Piecing
