Katzelkraft - Winged Butterfly

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I am sure you have by now seen the new butterfly stamp set from Katzelkraft. They are gorgeous! I smooshed the background with distress oxide inks (Saltwater Taffy, Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade). Stamped the frame and into the frame one of those butterflies. Colored it with water color. Cut it out and cut an orange square just a tad bigger than the frame and assembled it onto the card. Stamped the sentiment and added it. Also added a strip of striped paper to the side. The stamps I used are from the following set: Winged Butterfly  - KTZ284,  Grunge Frames  - KTZ265  ( FRANCE) Winged Butterfly - KTZ284,  Grunge Frames  - KTZ265  (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Funky Fossil Designs - Funky Fruit

Hi Everyone, today I am playing with some older products from  Funky Fossil Designs ! And since cherries are in season I went with them! Those  luscious cherries are from the set Funky Fruit . I masked the first pair and then stamped again and did another attempt at no line coloring. This time with Copics. I don't quite have all the reds for this, but somehow managed....I pieced the sentiment together with one of the sentiments on the set. It says "Thank you berry much". I did not ink up the "B" and borrowed  the "CH" from the much. It worked....  At first I just left it at that, but then I found it kind of boring. Added the black splatters - better. And then I decided to add some insects (from Cats on Appletrees) - isn't everything better with insects???? I hope you liked this. Happy Stamping! Stars at Topflight Stamps

Hi Everyone, This week is all about stars on the  Topflight blog . There is an extra category about sun/moon and stars  in the store. I settled on the  Katzelkraft Half Tone Star  and heat embossed it in white and black. I sprinkled infusions powders on the stars, using Golden Sand and Emerald Isle. Spritzed it with water. After it dried I stamped the flowers and stamped them again onto scrap paper and cut them out. Added them to the stamped images. Lastly I stamped the sentiment and added it to my card. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  See you next week with more  Topflight Stamps  inspiration. And here are the stamp supplies I used:  Katzelkraft Half Tone Star ,  Katzelkraft KTZ178  (not the same set, but it would work as well) Literary Quotes ,  Golden Sand  Emerald Isle               Versafine Linking up with: Use Your Stuff - plants/flowers 613 Avenue Create - anything goes, ...

Katzelkraft Collage Card #2

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I decided to make another card with that little home furnishing catalog I got in the mail. The first one I made you can see HERE . It's actually a lot of fun to do - choosing the animals and fitting them into that environment. I chose one of the dogs and the monkey from the Jungles set. I colored them with Copics and fuzzy cut them. I heat embossed the sentiment (Dylusions stamps- Dyan Reavely) and added it to the card.  The stamps I used are from the following set: Les Jungles - KTZ168,  Les Chiens  - KTZ161  ( FRANCE) Jungle Animals  - KTZ168,  Dogs - KTZ161  (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Crackerbox Stamps - Let Your Dreams take Flight

Hi Everybody!   Since we just had July 4th I made a card with some of my older  Crackerbox Stamps . Although I am not sure what we celebrated this year - the loss of freedom of half of the population? The loss of civil liberties? The unwillingness to combat climate change? Daily mass shootings - over 250 this year alone? I am dismayed by the current course of events. I could go on for a long time, but since this is about card making I will stop here.   Some of the products I have used have been provided to me from various companies I design for. Affiliate links may be used in the links provided below. I first stamped the flag, inking of the stars in some dark blue and the rest in a very muted dark red. Stamped the sentiment. Added the  Statue of Liberty  - a stencil from iStencil. I went over the stripes in the torch with white, to not have the stripes shine through too much. Brushed the body of the Liberty lady with whatever color was left on my brush (did a l...
