Twofer Card Challenge #3

Hi Everyone,

here comes my usual last minute challenge entry for the current Twofer challenge. As you all know,  the theme is blossoms and today is the last day.....

So I  took an ancient stamp and made two different cards.....Card #1 as you can see just uses the flower stamp, whereas on card #2 the flower got re-purposed as wild hairdo for the grumpy Katzelkraft cat.

Wanna see the cards separately?
Here they are:

The sentiment on this card is from Honey Bee Stamps.
The sentiment on the cat card is from Dylusions. Colored card #2 with Inktense.

I almost choked on my coffee when I saw that grumpy cat! What a fun way to use that flower! The blossom has a great wildness to it, and you can almost see it blowing in the breeze. Beautiful colors on your first card, and the strip of black and white stripes down the side really accents your blooms. That cat, though...he cracks me up, and I swear, my little kitty used to have that same hair-do in the mornings, lol! Thanks for joining us at the Twofer Challenge! Bev

As always, you are very clever and creative, Cornelia! You have used your wild blossom beautifully as a flower and good job seeing that it would make a delightful hairdo for your grumpy cat!! Love the colors!! I also love the awesome borders you have on both cards! Thank you so much for playing along in Twofer Card Challenge #3! Hugs, Darnell
So clever and creative to give such a foxy hairdo to that cat using the blossom image. I love the blossom card too. So happy you joined in the Twofer Challenge #3.

OK, you win for the most clever and fun card, EVER! The hair on that cat still has me rolling on the floor, tears of laughter pouring out of my eyes. Love the floral with the black/white and shock of color, as well...very elegant. Both of these have the signature "Cornelia" designs screaming at me.

Not sure Mr Grumpy likes his new hairdo, but it sure makes for a hilarious card and a very creative use of your ancient flower stamp. Which goes to prove that we never should destash, since you never know when you need it again LOL.

Using that flower as a hairdo for the cat was brilliant, Cornelia, as are the colors you used on the entire card. It's more subdued in it's original form which is perfect for a get well card.

Katzelkraft - Stampotique Raven

Hi Everyone, Do you know that   Katzelkraft has aquired Stampotique stamps? This fun raven is designed by Daniel Torrente (#6314). I used an old background from my stashs.  I stamped the bird and colored it with alcohol ink markers.  I brushed distrss ink onto the background and added some pattern with the   Mandala Magic stencil  from Funky Fossil Designs.I used one of the border stamps on the left for more interest.  Stamped the sentiment  and doodled a frame around the sentiment.Added a googly eye to the bird and drew in some eye lashes.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Spiral Borders - KTZ286,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276  (FRANCE) Spiral Borders  - KTZ286 , Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276 (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - fur or feathers

Combined So Suzy and The Ton Blog Hop

Hi Everyone, I am sooooo excited to be part of this amazing event - a combined hop between So Suzy Stamps and The Ton! I have been eyeing The Ton stamps and dies for quite a while - they are just gorgeous! And So Suzy - well you have seen their stamps on my blog - they are simply fabulous! I also love that they are made from rubber - its different stamping with them. Its much better for generational stamping and they don't stick to your paper when you use your Misti. You may have arrived from the fabulous  Eunji - its a hard act to follow her.... I got those gorgeous  Peonies Dies  from The Ton and die cut them with water color paper. Spritzed Dylusion inks on a sheet of plastic and dipped the dies into the colors. Mounted them onto black card stock. Added the So Suzy Birthday sentiment - heat embossed in white. Lastly I added a strip of envelope liner paper at the bottom. Here are my supplies: So Suzy Birthday sentiment ,  Peo...
