So Suzy Alcohol Ink butterflies

Hi Everyone,

this gorgeous butterfly is from the new So Suzy Stamps release. I was planning on turning it into a Monarch, but it did not quite work out that way.

My stamp supplies:

I made myself a mask and stamped on Yupo paper.

I heat embossed the butterflies with clear embossing powder.

Started to dolor them in with alcohol inks

Kept adding more, but some of the green moved outside the outlines. So I added more green on the outside, but in the end did not like it.

So I took a mini mister that I had filled with rubbing alcohol and spritzed it. I held the  paper upright, so the diluted ink started to run toward the bottom.
Kind of cool, I thought.

Wanted a bit more color, so I added pink splatters.

I heat embossed the sentiment onto some wood paper in white. Added it to the card with foam tape.
One tip: Be careful, when heat embossing Yupo - it is not paper, it is plastic and warps fairly quickly.

And looks what's coming up:

Happy Stamping!

A case of lemons into lemonade, Cornelia. The running inks look fabulous behind the gorgeous butterflies.

Katzelkraft - Stampotique Raven

Hi Everyone, Do you know that   Katzelkraft has aquired Stampotique stamps? This fun raven is designed by Daniel Torrente (#6314). I used an old background from my stashs.  I stamped the bird and colored it with alcohol ink markers.  I brushed distrss ink onto the background and added some pattern with the   Mandala Magic stencil  from Funky Fossil Designs.I used one of the border stamps on the left for more interest.  Stamped the sentiment  and doodled a frame around the sentiment.Added a googly eye to the bird and drew in some eye lashes.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Spiral Borders - KTZ286,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276  (FRANCE) Spiral Borders  - KTZ286 , Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276 (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - fur or feathers
