Simply Create Too #69 and a Farewell

This is a difficult post for me to write. I have decided to step down from the Simply Create Too DT. I have overextended myself a bit and I feel too stressed about all those challenge blogs I am on, trying to keep up with the deadlines and commenting on top of working full time and running my household. I have been with Simply Create Too now for almost 1 1/2 years. It was the first DT for me and I will be always grateful to Diane, the owner, to give me a chance. I learned a lot and really enjoyed being on this wonderful team with all its creative and supportive members. So this card is for the wonderful Simply Create Too family.

Thank You All!

The challenge for the next week is to show us something new. I lately saw a few Brusho cards in blog land and was intrigued. Had to get that stuff.....And it is FUN I must say. Its pigment crystals. You sprinkle them on and mist with water. Great effect - absolutely love it. You will see more of that in the future from me, I promise.

I hope to see you over at Simply Create Too. Come and visit and get inspired by our DT. By the way there is a DT call going on right now and I can only recommend you apply. Its a great team!

I am linking this card with following challenges:
Simon Says Wednesday challenge - use a clear or rubber stamp and leave comments on all the blog hop stops (left comments and used clear stamps)
Bizzy Bec's - Anything Goes
Lawnscaping challenge - one layer card
Darnell's NBUS challenge #2

           Never-Before-Used-Schtuff (Stamps, Dies, EFs, etc.)

Cornelia, your card is absolutely gorgeous; what a wonderful way to showcase the lovely poppy stamp! I'm sad to hear you're stepping down from Simply Create, Too - but given all your other commitments, totally support your decision. The plus side of this: you're on other design teams so we'll still be treated to your amazing creativity!!

I was wondering how you were able to manage everything...
Love your card! I am very intrigued by those Brusho paints and the awesome stuff I have been seeing on various blogs. They are on my wish list....
Hi, Cornelia: This card is absolutely gorgeous! I was sure you used watercolors [kind of difficult to control] this seems much easier [got to check this product out, but you KNEW I would!] Bet other crafters will too--it's a beautiful effect to use!

Stunning, Cornelia, absolutely beautiful. I've not been in blogland much over the last week or so, and am enjoying catching up with all your lovely work ... and had to stop here to let you know how awesome your card is. I admire your decision to step down from SCT, even though it was a difficult one ... there is only so much of you to go around! Anita :)

Easter Egg and Bunny

Hi Everyone, I made a bunch of Easter cards, after all its little more than one month and I need to send them out in time... You see, they are all similar - using both the die cut and the negative, that I cut from a die cut egg. The cute bunnies got their yearly appearance - they are from Impression Obsession. the egg is by Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Papertrey. And here are bigger photos from this set: Linking up with Creative with Stamps - Easter The Paper Players - die cutting Die Cut Divas - animals Happy Little Stampers - anything goes with dies

Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it. And here is a close -up: Challenges: Dynamic Duos CAS Colours and Sketches Addicted to Stamps and More Amusing Challenges Materials: Papertrey Background Basics: Super Stripes, Memory Box Chloe Stem die. --X-- Card for Maddy: You may know already about  Maddy ,  who  was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and went through chemotherapy treatment followed by a stem cell transplant from her (then) fifteen year old sister Melanie.  She now has a relapse and this car

Mirror Image Stamping with So Suzy and the MISTI

Hi Everyone, I am so happy to be part of this wonderful event - the collaboration between So Suzy and the MISTI from My Sweet Petunia doing mirror image stamping.  This event is going on for the ENTIRE  MONTH! We are demonstrating the  Mirror Image Stamp    which coordinates with the Misti Stamping Tool! All month long, different bloggers will post a card using the  Mirror Image Stamp .  In my tutorial today, I will show you how use the  Mirror Image Stamp  on your cards. You can basically double your stamp supplies that way! The  mirror image stamp  is  a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of red rubber with no foam backing. So much larger than the other mirror image stamps out there and therefore much more useful! Mirror Image stamp ,  Two Cats in a Tree If you want a video tutorial on how to do this I can highly recommend you watch THIS VIDEO on youtube. Explains it all in very little time! Or you can see the same thing on my photo tutorial. With mirror
