Liebster Award - Update

A real long time ago my blogging friend Rosi/DaenY's gave me a Liebster award!

I was touched and very surprised - I never expected that!
Thank you so much Rosi - it means so much to me! What a lovely gesture!

But the rules are:

Of course you have to thank the person giving it to you.
Post the award and link it to this person
Hand the award to 5 people with less than 200 followers
Write a comment on those blogs and let them know you gave them an award.

I was really busy at the time and put it off and thought it is going to be easy to hand it to five people. But that turned out to be wrong - I really struggled with this. There are myriad of wonderful blogs out there - how to choose 5? I wanted to give the award to somebody I feel I have a personal connection to and not somebody I do admire with their creations and I keep commenting, but I never hear back from them - does anybody else feel the same way? I also wanted to give it to somebody who had never received one. And my last selection criterion was that I wanted to give it to somebody who is not already on  highly visible design teams - they get a lot of publicity anyhow. I guess I made it harder than it had to be....

So without further ado -  here are my 5 faves - in alphabetical order:

I actually have 5 more people on my list....

Cathy sadly turned down the award, but as I said - I have more people on my list so here is my next choice:

Maria

Hopefully Maria you are not insulted to not be on the initial list  - I love your blog and your writing!

Go hop on over, it you have time - each blog is special in its own way and belongs to truly lovely people!

Hi Cornelia, thank you so much for the nomination! What a lovely surprise. I replied in a comment on my blog too. I think I am disqualified though as I did receive a nomination in Feb and 2 in March this year not long after I started blogging. I was a bit overwhelmed and sadly have yet to pay forward the award!! I noticed that you have some other people you'd like to include and thought I'd better let you know.
Thank you again though, it's lovely to know that you like my cards :)

I have visited your other nominees and really enjoyed my visits there, TFS, Cathy x

Hi Cornelia,
I just realized I never thanked you for the award! I was going to do it on my blog when I pass it on, but realized that you are right, it's not that easy and it is taking me longer than I anticipated.
It was very sweet of you to give me, as a total newbie a little kick, as Daen'Ys says!
So I have not forgotten it, it's coming!!

Katzelkraft - Stampotique Raven

Hi Everyone, Do you know that   Katzelkraft has aquired Stampotique stamps? This fun raven is designed by Daniel Torrente (#6314). I used an old background from my stashs.  I stamped the bird and colored it with alcohol ink markers.  I brushed distrss ink onto the background and added some pattern with the   Mandala Magic stencil  from Funky Fossil Designs.I used one of the border stamps on the left for more interest.  Stamped the sentiment  and doodled a frame around the sentiment.Added a googly eye to the bird and drew in some eye lashes.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Spiral Borders - KTZ286,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276  (FRANCE) Spiral Borders  - KTZ286 , Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276 (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - fur or feathers

Combined So Suzy and The Ton Blog Hop

Hi Everyone, I am sooooo excited to be part of this amazing event - a combined hop between So Suzy Stamps and The Ton! I have been eyeing The Ton stamps and dies for quite a while - they are just gorgeous! And So Suzy - well you have seen their stamps on my blog - they are simply fabulous! I also love that they are made from rubber - its different stamping with them. Its much better for generational stamping and they don't stick to your paper when you use your Misti. You may have arrived from the fabulous  Eunji - its a hard act to follow her.... I got those gorgeous  Peonies Dies  from The Ton and die cut them with water color paper. Spritzed Dylusion inks on a sheet of plastic and dipped the dies into the colors. Mounted them onto black card stock. Added the So Suzy Birthday sentiment - heat embossed in white. Lastly I added a strip of envelope liner paper at the bottom. Here are my supplies: So Suzy Birthday sentiment ,  Peo...
