Simply Create Too Design Team

Hallo,

I am so excited to announce that I am now part of the Simply Create Too Design Team!

I could not tell anybody about this until today - the day of the official new design team member announcement!

I am very proud to be chosen into this fantastic team. I was a little nervous at first, but everybody has been so welcoming and nice and has put me at ease.
I made this card for the first challenge - it is "Anything Goes" - actually my favorite type of challenge. Although it is a little different if you know that you are supposed to be the "inspiration". Usually if I see a challenge like that I just participate with whatever I have.....

I decided to use my all time favorite stamp for this occasion - the famous water droplet stamp by Ryn Tanaka

I used distress inks for a watercolor background. The Japanese maple leaves are by Stamp Camp and the sentiment is from Heidi Grace Designs by Fiskars.

I put little enamel dots on the drops and went over every drop to take away some of the underlying color to make them more 3-D. I saw that somewhere on Ryn's facebook site. This make a huge difference and it shows better in the detail pics than in the picture of the entire card.

I have some more Ryn cards coming up - she has created different water drop stamps and I immediately ordered some - although I really should have ordered ALL of them..... Next time I won't make that mistake again....

As things go - I may as well participate in the Moxie Fab watercolor challenge with this card.

I am glad I can share my joy with you - have a great day and thank you all for you kind comments!

Hey Cornelia, a BIG huge congratulations on your first DT position :) I've enjoyed all of the cards that you have shared with me so far so I can certainly understand you being offered a DT position. This one is gorgeous! hehe, the funny thing is that I never noticed that technique with lifting ink out of the Droplets. Always something to learn. Thanks for the kind words :)

Amazing news! I'm so glad for you!

Hi Everyone, I made a bunch of Easter cards, after all its little more than one month and I need to send them out in time... You see, they are all similar - using both the die cut and the negative, that I cut from a die cut egg. The cute bunnies got their yearly appearance - they are from Impression Obsession. the egg is by Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Papertrey. And here are bigger photos from this set: Linking up with Creative with Stamps - Easter The Paper Players - die cutting Die Cut Divas - animals Happy Little Stampers - anything goes with dies

Mirror Image Stamping with So Suzy and the MISTI

Hi Everyone, I am so happy to be part of this wonderful event - the collaboration between So Suzy and the MISTI from My Sweet Petunia doing mirror image stamping.  This event is going on for the ENTIRE  MONTH! We are demonstrating the  Mirror Image Stamp    which coordinates with the Misti Stamping Tool! All month long, different bloggers will post a card using the  Mirror Image Stamp .  In my tutorial today, I will show you how use the  Mirror Image Stamp  on your cards. You can basically double your stamp supplies that way! The  mirror image stamp  is  a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of red rubber with no foam backing. So much larger than the other mirror image stamps out there and therefore much more useful! Mirror Image stamp ,  Two Cats in a Tree If you want a video tutorial on how to do this I can highly recommend you watch THIS VIDEO on youtube. Explains it all in very little time! Or you can see the same thing on my photo tutorial. With mirror
