RIC#30 - Erdem

First of all - thanks you everybody for the overwhelming response I got on my blog entry from 2/23 - the paper pieced card. I got sooooo many lovely comments. Thanks for visiting my blog and taking the time to leave a comment. It means so much for me and is so encouraging.

And here comes my favorite challenge again - The Runway Insipred Challenge #30. Don't you just love these dresses and the gorgeous way they are photographed?

I used yellow background paper and a Martha Stewart border punch. I immediately thought about this punch when I saw the picture. The small butterflies I made with a Memory Box die, coloring a strip of watercolor paper (see below). The bigger butterflies are Martha Stewart as well. The sentiment is Hero Arts Fancy Script Messages.
I think I captured the dresses, but I am not totally happy with the way the card looks. Perhaps I should have tried more to incorporate the shabby wall somehow? Perhaps I should have chosen a different background for the photo? What do you think? Maybe I give it another try later.

Oh wow ... could there ever be a more perfect punch to use? And I like that you have the crisp, clean colors in your card (vs. the textured wall).

I opened the frame on the side to have the butterflies and color spill out. Added lots of splatters and the heat embossed sentiment Your next stop on the hop is the talented Henriette - you are going to love her card! And just in case you get lost - below are all the participants listed. Easter Egg and Bunny

Hi Everyone, I made a bunch of Easter cards, after all its little more than one month and I need to send them out in time... You see, they are all similar - using both the die cut and the negative, that I cut from a die cut egg. The cute bunnies got their yearly appearance - they are from Impression Obsession. the egg is by Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Papertrey. And here are bigger photos from this set: Linking up with Creative with Stamps - Easter The Paper Players - die cutting Die Cut Divas - animals Happy Little Stampers - anything goes with dies

Addicted to Stamps and More #134 and Spotlight Sneak Peek

Hi Everyone, Its challenge time at  ATSM ! For the next two week its going to be CAS - just my thing! And hopefully yours, too! I made a birthday card, because for some reason I always need more and never seem to have enough.... I was inspired by this weeks Make it Monday , where the talented  Ashley Newell  shows us a video about  stamps and doodling. Since I  mainly own die cuts from Papertrey and not so many stamps that would fit this theme I made my own out of fun foam, using my latest Papertrey dies (just got the order a few days ago) and cut those in fun foam - it works so well - voila - you have our own stamps, spending only a fraction of the money! I doodled around the stamps as you can see. Gives you kind of a cool effect....a little more tremor and one would think I drank too much ;) Added tiny enamel dots - do you know about this month House of Cards challenge - its enamel dots - thought I'll let you know..... Our wonderful spons...
