Happy New Year!!!

If you have not yet seen the inspiration picture at Inkspirational - go and have a look (its below, too) - just amazing. I knew I had to play.....And this is perfect for a New Years card, since I am a little tired of making Christmas cards..... I basically recreated this beautiful picture finally putting my Memory Box City Scape dies to good use... I have used them before, but forgot to take a picture of the card, before I sent it out.... I off set the die cuts just a tad. The black paper is glitter paper -looks really fabulous in real life. For teh firework I played around a little bit, since I don't have a die for it. I wanted to use the Memory Box Chloe Stem die  and turn it upside down, but I did not like the look of it - too bulky. So I cut it apart, as you can see: I thought that looks better....The sentiment is by STAMPlorations  Sentiment Builders: Christmas & New Year  and  Bloom Sketches . Added some Wink of Stella to the NEW  YEAR, but y

Gold on Kraft

I wanted to play with my new stamps ( Artistic Stamper ) I won at the November Craft Stamper challenge with THIS card. And what better way to use them and play in their current challenge - white stamping.  I did some white stamping, but did not find it white enough, so I heat embossed it in white. Added the heat embossed sentiment b y STAMPlorations -  Trendy Feathers  and some gold Paper Candi. also added some tiny gold beads on gold thread. Playing in these challenges: AAA challenge  - use a little gold Craft Stamper - white stamping Challenge Up Your Life - Kraft Friday Mash-up - 2 layer card

Just us Girls

I saw the photo at the Just us Girls challenge and knew I had to play....Pulled out my favorite Paper Smooches set and a stencil and voila' a card is done! Added some Washi tape and a Paper Candi. The elephants are paper pieced and mounted with foam tape. It was pretty simple and quick - my kind of card! Also adding this to Friday Mash-up - 2 layer card Happy stamping!

Merry Christmas

Hi my friends, I want to wish you a Merry Christmas, peace and happiness. I want to thank this wonderful community of the support and love throughout the year - it has been wonderful! I want to share this card with you (and a few challenges, of course) made with my new Hero Arts stamp - white embossed onto a Brusho watercolor background. The colorful sequins remind me about the Christmas tree we had every year at my parents house and we actually have a similar tree - chock full with colorful ornaments. This year however we are in Ithaca, celebrating Christmas away from home.  I will be taking a short blogging break, but don't worry, I have a New Years card scheduled ;) I am linking up with: Time out Challenge - Christmas   is Love with all the Trimmings CAS on Sunday - Christmas Around the World Challenge - see inspiration photo Inkspire me  - My Christmas Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes        By the way -  STAMPlorations

Little Tangles and Seize the Birthday

I am keeping my last Christmas card for tomorrow..... For now I have a birthday card, combining  Little Tangles  Bling Bling with Seize the Birthday  silver and gold. All stamps are by Neat&Tangled - Punchinella and Everyday Circles. I heat embossed on gold foil paper and also used glitter paper for the stripes and the circle. Added sequins for extra bling! Love the glitz!  I am also adding this to the  Snippets Playground   - use a snippet (sliver strips and silver round - leftover from THIS card - those at the bottom) and with Stampin' Celebration - see picture above Have a great day and hopefully won't be too frantic with all those Holiday preparations!

Addicted to Stamps and More #126

Its challenge time at ATSM ! And its Everybody's favorite theme- Amything Goes! I go the idea for this card from the amazingly talented Laura Bassen , which has made a video demonstrating the technique over at Papertrey's Make it Monday . Its a worthwhile video to watch and its short....Its easy to do, but a bit time consuming, as you have to make several die-cuts and glue them together. But the result is great  -I love it! Materials: all die cuts from Papertrey - the silver stars are the leftovers from the Papertrey snowflakes, the little trees you get from the happy sentiment - its the inside of the  letter "Y" turned upside down :) the other sentiments are by STAMPlorations ( Bloom Sketches: Daisy 2 ,  Bloom Sketches: Sunflower Artsy )  Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is  http://www.qkrstampede.com/ the prize is 3 free digis I am also playing in the  Jingle Belles challenge  - Anything Goes Snippets Playground - use

Cornelia Prepares for New Years!

Hi,  I had enough of Christmas cards and New Years is certainly a card worthy event, so why not prepare for it in time..... I choose the above sets to make this card:  VIGNETTE: Eat Drink Be Merry ,  SENTIMENT BUILDERS: Happy ,  Sentiment Builders: Christmas & New Year I started with watercolor paper and heat embossed the sentiment on it: Sprinkled blue and purple Brushos on it - you see you need very little, looks like little specks of pepper.... Mist it with water - the paper warps, so I weighed it down with acrylic blocks:  Let it dry - of course I have no patience, so I used my heat gun to speed it up. If you look closely you see little specks of dried paint on the embossed letters - I wiped them off with a damp cloth - see the picture on your right: Heat embossed the Champagne glasses in silver on a piece of scrap paper: I fussy cut them, colored them with Copics and mounted them with foam tape on the card:
